A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO
CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A CHANGE OF ORGANIZATION.
(ANNEXATION) OF APPROXIMATELY 96 ACRES OF LAND LOCATED AT
THE .NORTHWEST CORNER OF 24TH STREET AND THE CURRENT
EXTENSION OF ETIWANDA AVENUE (LAFCO .2504). .- .
WHEREAS, the Local. Agency Formation Commission of t~e County of San
Bernardino adopted its Resolution No. 2167 on September 21, 1988, mak.lng
determinations and approving the proposed annexation to the City of Rancho
Cucamonga of territory described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and by this
reference incorporated herein; and
WHEREAS, the terms and conditions of annexation as approved by the
Local Agency Formation Commission are as follows:
Condition No. 1. The conducting authority for this proceeding shall
be the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga;
Condition No. 2. The boundaries are approved as set forth in Exhibit
"A" attached;
Condition No. 3. The following distinctive short form designation
shall be used through this proceeding: LAPCO 25034;
Condition No. 4. Included in the City's resolution depicting final.
action shall be the detachment of County Service Area 70 without split
of assets or liabilities; and
Condition No. 5. The date of issuance of the ~ertificate of
Completion shall be the effective date of this annexation..
WHEREAS, the reasons for this annexation are:
The annexation would represent a logical extension of the City's
boundaries 'and urban services and would be benef~icial to the public purposes of
the City, in that the property will provide for development, within the
distr~ct,-in a manner consistent with the City'.s .General Plan and with related
development; and
WHEREAS, the regular county assessment roll is utilized ~ '~his City;

WHERE,, the affected territory will be taxed for existing general
bonded indebtedness of this City; and

WHERE,. a public hearing - on this annexation was called for and held
by this Council on November 16. 1988. this Council finds and determines that
the value of written protest filed and not withdrawn is less than 25% of the
number of owners of land owning less .than 25% of the assessed value of land
within the territory.
NOW. THEREFORE. the City Council of the citY of Rancho Cucamonga does
hereby resolve and orders the territory described in Exhibit "A" annexed, and
directs the City Clerk to transmit a certified copy of this resolution with
applicable fees required by Section 54902.5 of the Government Code to the
executive officer of the Local Agency Formation Commission of San Bernardino
County.

THE PARCEL DESCRIBED AS F~LOWS:
The southeast one-quarter of the southwest one-quarter and the south
one-half of the southeast one-quarter of Section 20. Township 1 north. Range 6
west San Bernardino Meridian in the County of San Bernardino. State of
~alifornia according to the official plat thereof.
Except therefrom the westerly 150 feet of the southeast one-quarter of
the southwest one-quarter of said Section 20.
Also except therefrom that portion conveyed to the Southern Surplus
Realty Company described as follows:
