The "merry war" of the sexes is on as Rancho Cucamonga
Community Theatre presents William Shakespeare's Much Ado
About Nothing! Laugh out loud at one of the Bard's most beloved
comedies, a lively tale of two razor sharp wits Benedick and Beatrice,
infatuated lovebirds Claudio and Hero, and their devious friends.
"Ben & Bea" have proudly sworn off marriage, so their friends hatch a
hilarious plot to trick the sparring partners into confessing their love.
Nothing is as it seems in this raucous tale of deception, wit,

Chip Day
August 15
Microchips greatly increase the chances that pets will be reunited with their families if they are lost or stolen,
but a microchip only works if its registration information is accurate.
Registering and Updating Your Pet's Microchip
Consider making an appointment with your veterinarian if your pet isn't already microchipped. Once your
pet is microchipped, routinely check to see that the chip's registration information is up-to-date by creating
an account through the chip's manufacturer. Chips contain information like your home address, phone
number, and a unique pet identification number.
Clear the Shelters August 18
Inspire to take action for pets in need. Adopt a pet at Clear the Shelters.
NBC4 Southern California and Telemundo 52 Los Angeles stations are teaming up with hundreds of shelters
across the country to host Clear the Shelters, a nationwide campaign which raises awareness about the benefits
of pet adoption and aims to reduce the animal overpopulation at local shelters. During the month-long
campaign, both stations will cover news stories to spotlight the issue, including the importance of spaying and
neutering, the benefits of microchipping, and helping families find the right pet for their homes.
Visit RCpets.info, NBCLA.com, or Telemundo52.com for details about this event.
Adopt -a -Dog Month - October
Throughout the month of October, the American Humane
Association joins with animal shelters across the country in
celebrating Adopt -a -Dog Month. People are encouraged to help
homeless animals by opening their hearts and homes to dogs in
need. The Rancho Cucamonga Animal Care and Adoption Center can
help you to find the perfect pet. By adopting a dog from the Animal
Center, you are saving the lives of these precious animals and giving
them much needed, loving homes. Be sure to check out our website
at RCPets.info as it is a source for all your pet needs.
Adopt -a -Senior -Pet Month - November
Attention animal lovers - consider giving a home to an older cat or
dog in need. There are many advantages to adopting an older dog.
You'll know important things like their full-grown size, personality,
and grooming requirements. Older pets are great at focusing on you
because they're calmer than their younger counterparts. They're
content going for a short walk and can be a great match for older
adults, or those who enjoy a less active lifestyle. Older pets have been
around the block and have already learned what it takes to get along
with others and become part of a pack. They'II be a part of your family
in no time and you'll feel the rewards every day you spend together.
