HomeMy WebLinkAbout78-22 - Resolutions RESOLUTION NO. 78-22 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF IHE CITY OF RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF ALPINE STREET, EAST OF SALINA STREET AND SOUTH OF ARROW ROUTE. Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga as follows: SECTION 1: That the Mayor and City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga hereby declares its intention to order the vacation of a portion of Alpine Street, East of Salina Street and South of Arrow Route, in said City, which said portion more particularly is described as follows: That portion of the Northwest quarter of the Southwest quarter of Section 11, Township 1 South, Range 7 West, SAN BERNARDINO MERIDIAN, in the City of Rancho Cucamonga, County of San Bernardino, State of California, described as follows: BEGINNING at the Northwest corner of Lot 52, Tract No. 5347, as per map recorded in Book 66 of Maps, pages 11 and 12, Records of said County; thence North 89© 42' 34" West 116.85 feet along the Westerly prolongation of the North line of said Lot 52 to the beginning of a tangent curve concave to the Southeast and having a radius of 20.00 feet; thence Southwesterly along said tangent curve, through an angle of 90° 25' 05", an arc distance of 31.56 feet to a point of tangency with the East line of Salina Street, 66.00 feet wide; thence North 0° 07' 39" West 100.00 feet to a point of cusp with a tangent curve concave to the Northeast and having a radius of 20.00 feet; thence Southeasterly along said curve, through an angle of 89° 34' 55" an arc distance of 31.34 feet to a point of tangency, with a line that is parallel with and 60.00 feet North of the North line of said Lot 52; thence tangent to said curve South 89° 42' 34" East 117.15 feet, along said parallel line to the Northerly prolongation of the West line of said Lot 52; thence South 0° 07' 39" East 60.00 feet along said prolongation to the POINT OF BEGINNING. SECTION 2: That the Mayor and City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga, in vacating the above described portion of said street, !lects to proceed under and in accordance with the provisions ~ zhe "Street Vacation Act of 1941," being Division 9, Part 3, of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California. SECTION 3: That the hour of 7:00 p.m. on the 7th of June, 1978, in the Community Services Building at 9161 Base Line Road, Cucamonga, California, be, and the same hereby is fixed as the time and place when and where all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation may appear before the said Mayor and City Council and offer evidence in relation thereto. For further particulars as to the proposed vacationof the hereinbefore described portion of said street, reference is made to that certain map marked, "Street Vacation No. 1" approved May 5, 1978, on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City. SECTION 4: That the City Engineer of the City of Rancho Cucamonga hereby is directed to cause Notices of Street Vacation to be posted as required by the Street Vacation Act of 1941. Resolution No. 78-22 Fage 2 PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED the 17th day of May, 1978. ATTEST: City Clerk
