AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCEO
CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE 17 OF THE RANCHO
CUCAMDNGA MUNICIPAL OODE TO REVISE SECTION 17.12.030A12 -
PARKING LOT STRIPING
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga, C~lifornia
does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1: The City Council hereby finds and determines the
following:
A. That the Planning Commission of the City of Rancho
CucamonEa, following a public hearing held in the t/me
and manner prescribed by law, recommends the Amendment
to Section 17.12.030A12 "Parking Lot Striping", of the
Development Code as hereinafter described, and this
City Council has held a public hearing prescribed by
law and duly heard and considered said recommendation.
B. That this Development Code Amendment is consistent
with the General Plan of the City of Rancho ~ucamonga.
C.That this Amendment is consistent with the obi ectives
of the Development Code.
D. That this Amendment to the Development Code will have
no significant enviror~ental impact as provided in the
Negative Declaration f~.led herein.
SECTION 2: That Section 17.12.030A12 "Striping" is hereby amended to
read as follows:
Striping: Ail parking stalls shall be clearly striped and
permanently maintained with double or hairpin lines on the
surface of the parking facility, with the two (2) lines
located an equal distance of nine (9) inches on either side
of the stall sidelines. In all parking facilities, all
aisles, approach lanes, and maneuvering areas shall be
clearly marked with directional arrows and lines to
expedite traffic movement.
SECTION 3: The Mayor shall sign this Ordinance and the City Clerk
shall cause the same to be published within fifteen (15} days after its passage
at least once in The Daily Report, a newspaper of general circulation published
in the City of Ontario, California, and circulated in the City of Rancho
Cucamonga, California.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 4th day of March, 1987.
