The C~4C shall act in an advisory capacity to the City Council and Planning Cc~mission on envirommental issues. 2.28.030 Membership - Generally. The C~9C shall consist of a total of five (5) m~mh~rs. Members of the C~MC shall be residents of Rancho Cucmmm~ga and shall be appointed b~ the City Council. A subo~ittee of the City Council shall su~it to the City Council the name of any person proposed name of the appointee shall be recorded in the minutes of the City Council 2.28.040 Membership - Terms of Appo~. The five (5) members of the ~ initially appointed shall determine the length of their terms by lot. ~ (3) members shall serve a term of four (4) years and shall continue in office until their respective t~rms expire unless sooner for terms of four (4) years. Tw~ (2) members shall serve for a term of two Ordinance No. 307B Page 2 (2) years and shall continue in offioe until their respective terms expire unless sooner removed as provided in this Ordinance, and t_heir successors shall be appointed for terms of four (4) years. If a vacancy shall occur, other than by expiratic~ of the term of office, it shall be filled by appointment of the City Council for the unexpired term. 2.28.050 Mem~p - Re, oval of M-mh-_~. Any ~ber of the C~MC may be removed at any time by a majority vote of the entire City Oouncil. 2.28.060 Regular Meetir~. Regular ~eetings of the C]~HC shall be established by resolution of the C~F~. 2.28,070 Officers. The ~ shall select a chai~ to preside at all meetings of the C~9C, and a vice ohai~ to preside in the absence of the chairperson. ~ secretary to the C~ shall be designated by the City Manager. S~CTION 2: ~he City Clerk shall oertify to the passage of this Ordinance. SECTION 3: The Mayor shall sign this Ordinance and the City Clerk shall cause the same to be published within fifteen (15) days after its passage at least once in the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin, a new~ of general circulation published in the City of Ontario, California, and circulated in the City of Rancho Cuc~xz3a, Calif~-~,~a.
