PRIHA FACIE SPEED LIMITS UP(Iq CERTA11 CITY STREETS
A. Recieal!
(i) California Vehicle Code Section 22357 provides that this City
Council may, by ordinance, set prima [acie speed limits upon any portion si any
street not a state highway.
(ii) The City Traffic Engineer has conducted an engineerin8 and
traffic survey,, of certain streets within the City of Rancho Cucamonga which
streets are specified in Part B of thio Ordinance.
(iii) The determinations concerning prima earle speed limits set
forth in Part B, below, are based upon the engineering and traffic survey
identified in Section A (ii), above.

Section 10.20.010 hereby is amended to the Rancho Cucamon~a City Code

(ii) The miles per hour as stated are the prima feces speeds which
are moot appropriate to facilitate the orderly movement of traffic and are
speed limits which are reasonable and safe on said streets or portions thereof.
(iii) The miles per hour stated are hereby declared to be the prima
faces speed limits on said streets.

The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance and
shall cause the same to be published as required by

The Nayor shall sign this Ordinance and the City Clerk shall cause the
same to be published within fifteen (15) days after its passage at least once
in ~~l~L~, a newspaper of general circulation published in the City
of Ontario, California, and circulated in the City of Rancho Cucamonga,
Cal ifornia.
