AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING
THE NEED FOR A REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY TO FUNCTION
IN THE COMMUNITY.
The City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga, California,
does ordain as follows:
Section 1. Purpose. It is hereby found, determined and
declared, pursuant to Section 33101 of the Health and Safety Code of the
State of California, that there is a need for the Redevelopment Agency
created by Section 33100 of said Code to function in the City of Rancho
Cucamonga, and said agency is authorized to transact business and exercise
its powers under the Community Redevelopment Law of the State of California
(Health and Safety Code 33000 etc. seq.).
Section 2. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 33200 of the
Health and Safety Code, the City Council hereby declares itself to be
said agency, and all the functions, rights, powers, duties, privileges
and immunities vested by the Community Redevelopment Law in said agency
shall be, and they hereby are, vested in the City Council.
Section 3. The City Council hereby appoints the City Manager
to serve as Executive Director of the Redevelopment Agency.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall cause a certified copy of
this ordinance to be filed in the Office of the Secretary of State of
the State of California, and the Clerk of the County of San Bernardino
pursuant to Section 33102 of the Health and Safety Code.
Section 5. The Mayor shall sign this Ordinance and the City
Clerk shall cause the same to be published within fifteen (15) days
after its passage at least once in The Daily Report, a newspaper of
general circulation published in the City of Ontario, California, and
circulated in the City of Rancho Cucamonga, California.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 20th day of May, 1981.
