AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO
CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING ARTICLE V SECTIONS 5.4.1 &ND
5.4.2 OF THE SIGN ORDINANCE NO. 65 FOR CLARIFICATION PURPOSES.
The City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga, California,
does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1: The sign class description of Article V
Section 5.4.1 and 5.4.2 is amended to read
as follows:
5.4.1 Business Identification (business not within
shopping centers).
5.4.2 Business Identification (businesses within
shopping centers).
SECTION 2: Article V Section 5.4.2(b) is amended t~ read
as follows:
5.4.2(b): Monument signs shall contain tht~ thcmt, na~:~~
of the center as the predominant t~at~r,~ ~ the
sign and/or identification of two bt~siness;t~>~.
If one business name is used in ~1

SECTION 3: Article V Section 5.4.2 (d) is amt'~dt'r~ t[~ ~-~'ad
as follows:
5.4.2(d): A center is one in which businesses and structures
are designed in an intergrated and interrelated
development. Such design is independent of the
number of structures, lots, or parcels making
up the center.
SECTION 4: The Mayor shall sign this Ordinance and the
City Clerk shall attest to the same, and the City Clerk shall
cause the same to be published within fifteen (15) davs after
its passage, at least once in The Daily Report, a newspaper of
general circulation published in the City of Ontario, California,
and circulated in the City of Rancho Cucamonga, California.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 1st day of August, 1979.
