HomeMy WebLinkAbout64-C - Ordinances ORDINANCE NO. 64C (URGENCY) AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, EXTENDING THE MORATORIUM IMPOSED BY ORDINanCE NO. 64 AND DECLARING THE URGENCY THEREOF The City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga, California, does ordain as follows: SECTION 1: The City Council hereby finds that: A. Further time is needed for the study and preparation of a comprehensive growth management program for the City. B. The expiration of Ordinance No. 64 as extended by Ordinance No. 64B by its terms on November 8, 1979, will not be in the best interests of the City and said expiration date should be extended as hereinafter provided. SECTION 2: Section 6 of Ordinance No. 64 of the City ot Rancho Cucamonga is hereby amended to read as follows: "SECTION 6: The moratorium imposed by this Ordinance shall expire January ], 198Q. SECTION ]: This Ordinance is hereby declared an ~rgency measure necessary for the immediate protection and preservation of the public peace, safety, and welfare stated in Section ! hereof and in Ordinance No. 64 and shall take effect immediately upon adoption. SECTION 4: The Mayor shall sign this Ordinance and t[~e City Clerk shall attest to the same, and the City Clerk shall cause the same to be published within fifteen (15) days after its passage, at least once in The Dailv Report, a newspaper of general circulation published in the City of Ontario, California, and circulated in the City of Rancho Cucamonga, California.
