HomeMy WebLinkAbout54 - Ordinances ORDINANCE NO. 54 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF R~J4C!!O CUCAMONGA, CALIFOP~NIA, REGARDING THE POWER OF CITY OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES TO ENFORCE CITY ORDINA~NCES .~:D ALL PRI~ARY AND SECONDARY CODES REFERRED TO THEREIN. The City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga, California, does ordain as follows: SECTION 1: An officer or employee of the City designated bv City Council Resolution is empowered to, and has the duty to, enforce any provision of any Ordinance of the City, and all primary and secondary Codes referred to therein, the violation of which provision or provisions constitute an infraction or misdemeanor. Said employee shall be deemed a public officer or employee empowered by virtue of this Code and Section 836.5 el the California Penal Code to give citations for such vi~atious wh~rever such officer or employee has reasonable cause to bellcore that the person cited has committed such misdemeanor or infraction presence which is a violation of the Ordinance, primary Code or secondary Code whieh such officer of employee has the duty to enforce. SECTION 2: The Mayor shall sign this Ordinance and the City Clerk shall attest to the same, and the City Clerk shall cause the s~me to be published within fifteen (15) days after its passage, at least once in The Daily Report, a newspaper of general circulation, published [n the City of Ontario, Calif(~rnia, and circulated in the City et Rancho Cm:amonga, Caiifornia. ~ASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 7th day of Eebruary, 1979.
