HomeMy WebLinkAbout22 - Ordinances ORDINANCE NO. 22 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, ADDING SUB-SECTION (k) TO SECTION 16.024 OF THE SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY CODE, RELATING TO BUILDING PERMIT FEES FOR THE HUD MINI-REPAIR PROGRAM BROUGHT ABOUT BY STORM DAMAGE TO BUILDINGS. The City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga, California, does ordain as follows: SECTION 1: Sub-section (k) is hereby added to Section 16.024 of the San Bernardino County Code as follows: "16.024. Building and Safety. "(k) Waiver of Building Permit Fees. "No fees shall be charged for permits issued to owners of property to repair damage due to floods or mud slides as a result of heavy rains, when such repair is accomplished under the HUD Mini-Repair Program for disaster declared areas. "This sub-section is an interim measure and this sub-section shall be of no force and effect after May 15, 1978, unless express action by the City Council to extend its provisions is taken." SECTION 2: This Ordinance is hereby declared an urgency measure necessary for the immediate protection and preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare of persons and property within the City of Rancho Cucamonga. The facts establishing the necessity for such urgency are that recent heavy rains, floods and mud slides in various portions of the City have damaged both public and private property and in order to repair such property and to provide emergency aid to those victims of said disaster, expedited procedures with a waiver of certain fees are necessary. Therefore, this Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon adoption. APPROVED and ADOPTED this 19th day of April, 1978. //1 Mayor Rancho Cucamonga ATTEST:
