HomeMy WebLinkAbout19 - Ordinances ORDINANCE NO. 19 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, PROVIDING FOR DIRECTOR'S REVIEW FOR CERTAIN BUSINESS AND MANUFACTURING USES, AND DECLARING THE URGENCY THEREOF. The City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga, California, does ordain as follows: SECTION 1: Director Review. All uses described in Sections 61.027A, 61.027B, 61.029A, 61.029B and 61.029C of the San Bernardino County Code are subject to review and approval by the Director, under the provisions of Section 61.0219 (n) of the San Bernardino County Code, except as follows: (a) Director's review shall not be required for residential development unless the same is expressly required by provisions of the San Bernardino County Code; and, (b) Location and development plan approval, under Section 61.0219 (f) of the San Bernardino County Code, shall remain a requirement in all cases where the same is required by provisions of the San Bernardino County Code. SECTION 2: Facts Supporting Urgency. The City of Rancho Cucamonga was recently incorporated, and is now in the process of developing a General Plan which is a necessary prerequisite to the development of a comprehensive Zoning Ordinance for the City. There is an immediate need to adopt the review procedures described in this Ordinance to insure that business and industrial development which takes place in the City prior to the adoption of a new General Plan and comprehensive Zoning Ordinance will not be detri- mental to the public health, safety and welfare. SECTION 3: Declaration of Urgency. This Ordinance is hereby declared an urgency measure necessary for the immediate protection and preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare for the reasons stated in Section 2 hereof, and shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
