AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO
CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT BETWEEN
THE CITY OF RANCHO CUCAMONGA AND THE BOARD OF ADMINISTRATION
OF THE CALIFORNIA PUBLIC EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM.
The City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga does ordain as
follows:
SECTION 1: That a Contract between the City Council of the City of
Rancho Cucamonga and Board of Administration, California Public Employees'
Retirement System is hereby authorized, a copy of said Contract being
attached hereto, marked "Exhibit A", and by such reference made a part
hereof as though herein set out in full.
SECTION 2: The Mayor of the City of Rancho Cucamonga is hereby
authorized, empowered, and directed to execute said Contract for and on
behalf of said Agency.
SECTION 3: This Ordinance shall take effect of February 1, 1978, after
the date of its adoption, and prior to the expiration of five (5) days from
the passage thereof shall be posted in at least three locations in the City
of Rancho Cucamonga.
SECTION 4: The City of Rancho Cucamonga has recently incorporated
and this Ordinance must be adopted immediately in order to provide continuity
in the retirement benefits of the community service district employees who
are now employees of the City. This Ordinance is necessary for the protection
of the public welfare and shall take effect immediately upon its adoption as
an urgency ordinance.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 25th day of January, 1978.
