All pipelines, substructures, utility poles, utility meters, valves, hydrants, etc. I of any kind shown or not shown on these plans within the right-of-way or adjacent areas where improvement work is to be done shall be removed or relocated as required at no cost to the City. 2, Any Contractor performing work in this project shall familiarize himself with the site and shall be solely responsible for any damage to existing facilities resulting directly or indirectly from his operations, whether or not such facilities are shown on these plans. 3. Shading on street plans indicate A.C. pavement on approved base to be installed. 4. A permit will be obtained from the City of Rancho Cucamonga Engineering Department prior to any encroachment or construction within City of Rancho Cucamonga easements 7000 or tights -of -way. S. Adequate Stakes shall be set by the Engineer to enable the Contractor to construct the work to the plan grades. 6. Subgrade stakes, driven to the paveniettt subgrade elevation shall be set by the Con- tractor or Engineer, the stakes shall be set at all hinge points and crown points within 0.01 foot of subgrade elevation and at not more than 50 foot intervals. Additional stakes may be needed at warped or vertical curve areas, subgrade stakes shall be in place prior to paving to permit spot checking of subgrade by inspection personnel. i 7. All sewer, water and gas laterals shall be installed prior to paving. 8. Compaction tests of embankment, tranch backfill, original ground and subgrade shall be performed at no cost to the City of Rancho Cucamanga. A written report with these 170.00 compaction tests results shall be submitted to the City Engineer for approval prior to the placement of base materials and/or surfacing. 9. At the completion of paving, a uaterials report shall be submitted to the City Engineer listing all tests or determinations completed to verify: (a) R Value, sieve analysis and sand equivalent of aggregate base. (b) Stability, oil content and sieve analysis of asphalt surfacing. 10. When asphalt concrete is placed on native soil which consists of a rocky material, the subgrade Shall be prepared by removing all rocks which protrude above the subgrade and all voids or depressions shall be filled with a fine grade material of a quality better than the native material. 11. A soils sterilani registered by the E.P.A. for use under A.C. and P.C.C. shall be uniformly applied to the subgrade at manufacturer's recommended rate prior to 70.00 paving. 17. Estimate of quantities is provided by the Engineer only for the convenience of the Developer. The contractor shall make his own determination of construction quantities before submitting a bid. Any item of work required by these plans which is not specifically listed in the estimate of quantities shall be considered as included in the other items of work. 13. All work shall be done in accordance with these plans and City standards and specifi- cations. Contractor shall be familiar with and shall be responsible for adherance to these standard specifications. 14. City approval of plans does not relieve the Developer from responsibility for the correction of errors and omissions discovered during construction.
