HomeMy WebLinkAbout505 - Ordinances 01~IN~:~ I~. 505 AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANfMO CIICAMDNGA AMMqDING SMCTION 12.04.010 OF THE RANfMO CUCAMDNGA MUNICIPAL CODE THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCMO CtEAM1qGA HEREBY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Sectic~ 12.04,010 of the Rancho CUcamonga Municipal Code hereby is amended to read as follows: "12.04.010 Park Requlations. A. Except as provided in this d~3pter, it shall be unlawful for any person within the limits of any park or other recreation facility owned or operated by the city to: 1. Lead or let loose any animal except: a. Dogs or cats on a leash whic~ are under the full control of a person, b. Horses, ponies, or the like which are ridden or led on bridle trails or other areas designated for such ~; 2. a. Possess or consume alcc~olic beverages excepting only beer or wine sold within the interior of the stadium hlilding located in the sports complex on the west side of Rocbaster Avenue, south of Foothill BoulevBrd. For the pupDee of this chapter, the term "alcoholic beverage" or "alcoholic beverages" shall have the meaning set forth in Section 23044 of the California Business and Professions Code as the same presently exists, or as the same may be amended from time to time, b. The city manager is directed to post, or to cause to be posted, as of the effective date of the ordinance codified in this section, or upon the later opening of any new city park, at each entrance to suc~ city park except the sports cceplex located on the west side of Rochester Avenue, south of Foothill Boulevard, a sign stating, sukstantially, as follows: "Possession or constunption of alcoholic beverages in City parks is a miedeman~r - Rancho Cucamonga Municipal Code Section 12.04.010." Tne city manager shall cause to be posted at the entrance to the sports complex located on the west side of Rochester Avenue, south of Foothill Boulevard a sign stating sukstantially, as follows: "Except for tba possession or consumption of beer or wine sold within the stadium hlilding located on these premises, possession or consumption of alcoholic beverages in City parks is a misdemeanor - Rancho Cucamonga Municipal Code 12.04.01." Enter or remain between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. of the following day except to attend an event in the stadium kuilding located in the sports complex on the west side of ~ Avenue, south of Foothill Boulevard, or pursuant to an authorization issued by the city; 4. Light or maintain any fire except in a stove, fire circle or other place provided for that purpose; 5. Tnrow, project or propel any object capable of causing serious personal injury or damage to property except that baseball, basketball, football and other games where a ball is used may be placed in areas designated for such purposes; 6. Park or stand any vehicle in other than a designated parking area except pursuant to a permit issued by the city; 7. Drive any vehicle other than on roads, trails or driveways provided for that purpose except ~ to a permit issued by the city; 8. Drive any vehicle at a speed in excess of five miles per hour; 9. Ride or use playground equipment posted for use by children udder the age of fearteen years unless under the age of fourteen years; 10. Throw, discard, place or dispose of any garbage or refuse upon the ground or in any place other than garbage can or other receptacle maintained for such purpose; 11. Bring garbage or refuse frcm outside the limits of the park or recreation facility and deposit the same in garbage cans or receptacles; 12. Hold or ~e in a musical concez~ cr other m~sical event without a permit issued by the city, except for those events conducted within the stadium building located in the sports complex on the west side of Rochester Avenue, south of Foothill Boulerard. 13. Fly fuel power driven model airplanes exDept in areas desingated for sudl pEpDSeS; 14. Molest, injure or kill any animal or disturb its habitat; 15. Play any radio, tape recorder or other electronic sound- producing device at such volume to be audible at a distance of more than fifty feet; feature, reflecting pool or any similar body of water; B. Any person violating any of the provisions of subsections A, C. D, E, F, G, H, I, K, L, M, or O of Sectic~ 12.04.010, after having been once advised that such activity is unlawful, is guilty of a misdew~__~ and shall be punished by impr~ in the county jail for not more than six months or fine not exceeding five hundred dollars, or by both fine and impr~t. Ord/nance No. 505 Page3 Section 2: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance. SB~"F/ON : Tne Mayor shall sign this Ordinance and tba City Clerk shall cause the same to be published within fifteen (15) days after its passage at least once in the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin, a ~ of general circulation published in the City of Ontario, California, and circulated in the City of Rancho Cucamonga, California.
