Traffic signal and highway safety lighting systems per CALTRANS Standard Plans and Standard Specifications dated 10, as shown on the plans and in the Special Provisions. 2. Traffic signs, stripes and legends per CALTRANS Traffic Sign Specifications, California Manual on Traffic Control Devices, 2012 Edition, Maintenance Manual, Standard Specifications. Conform pavement legends to city stencils. Reflectorize all signs, stripes and legends. 3. Pavement markers and painting procedures for stripint per Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction, latest edition. 4. Locate all substructures prior to construction. Hand dig foundations until clear of obstructions. Coordinate pole installations with overhead utility or substructures owners. Phone Underground Service Alert and concerned utility companies 48 hours prior to construction. Location of utilities and substructures have been shown from a search of available records. The Contractor shall conduct his operation in such a manner as to protect not only the utilities and substructures shown, but other utilities or substructures that are not shown on these plans. 5. Obtain approval for exact equi meat, crosswalk and limit line locations prior to final placement. Perform preliminary striping layout prior to loop detector layout. 6. Vehicle indications shall be 12', pullboxes No. 6 with Eberlite lids and 4" schedule 40 conduits except as shown. 7. Electrical services shall be 120volt 240volt. Provide circuit breakers for signals (one 50 amp metered), illuminated signs (one 15 amp metered), and safety lighting (one 30 amp per 1200 watts or portion thereof unmetered). Coordinate service details and scheduling well in advance of need. 8. The CONDUCTOR SCHEDULE is furnished as an installation guideline only. It shall be the Contractor's responsibility to provide the correct conductors required for the intended operation. Main run conduit shall be 4 -inch inside diameter DB -100 PVC. 2. Three inner -ducts shall be placed inside the 4 -inch conduit. Inner -ducts shall be 1 -1/4" diameter, orange, schedule 40 PVC or better. 2. All points where the inner -duct needs to be spliced, proper fittings shall be used either a threaded screw -on watertight splice or heat fusion type splice. 4. All conduits and inner -ducts shall have mule -tape or pull string provided for future use. 5. All conduits in pull boxes shall be properly plugged with removable watertight JACK -MOON plugs. 8. All work @hail be properly documented including cable depths and accurate routing shall be provided to the City of ancho Cucamonga. All pavement markings shall conform to City maintenance stencils, (S.A.E.) unless otherwise noted. B. All conflicting striping and pavement markings shall be removed by WET SANDBLASTING. C. Sufficient control points and spotting shall be set for accurate and complete installation of new or replacement striping and markings. D. All control points and spotting removed during sandblasting shall be replaced prior to installation of striping and markings. E. All control points and spotting shall be inspected and approved by the City Traffic Engineer prior to installation of new or replacement striping and markings. F. All traffic striping and pavement markings installed on new road surfaces shall be an approved low VOC type, 15 mil thick (wet). Installation shall be in two coats with the second a minimum of two weeks after the first, unless otherwise noted. G. All thermoplastic striping and pavement markings shall be installed in one coat and be 10 mil thick (dryl, unless otherwise noted. H. Under no conditions shall a roadway be left over night, weekends nor holidays without appropriate striping and markings to the satisfaction of the City Engineer. I. All traffic striping and markings shall be installed with all appropriate permits and traffic control measures, in accordance with City and CALTRANS standards. J. Temporary or construction striping and markings shall be in accordance with City and CALTRANS standards and as directed by the City Traffic Engineer. 3) Street Name Signs shallbe installed per City Standard Plan No. 401 -A. 4) Traffic Signs shall be installed per City Standard Plan No. 401 -B.
