AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF RANCliO CUCAMONGA,
CALIFORNIA, APPROVING DDA 88-04 CARYN COMPANY, A PRE-ZONE
FOR APPROXIMATELY 282 ACRES OF LAND LOCATED AT THE
NORTHEAST CORNER OF 24TH STREET ( SUET AVENUE) AND
· - WARDMAN BULLOCK ROAD TO PLANNED COMMUNITY, AND MAKING
FINDINGS IN SUPPORT THEREOF
A. R. ecitals~.
(i) The Caryn Company has filed an application for Development
District Amendment 88-04 as described in the title of this Ordinance. Herein-
after in this Ordinance, the subject Development District Amendment is referred
to as "the Application".
(ii) On October 26, 1988, the Planning Commission of the City of
Rancho Cuc~monga conducted a duly noticed public hearing on the Application and
concluded said hearing on that date, and recommended approval.
(iii) On November 16, 1988, the City Council of the City of Rancho
Cucamonga conducted a duly noticed public hearing on the Application and
concluded said hearing on that date.
(iv) All legal prerequisites to the adoption of this Ordinance have
occurred.
B. Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga does
hereby find, determine, and ordain by as follows:
1. This Council hereby specifically finds that all of the facts set
forth in the Recitals, Part A, of this Ordinance are true and correct.
2. In conjunction with the Application, an Environmental Assessment,
in conformity with the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act
has been prepared. The Council has determined that this project would not have
a significant adverse effect on the environment, and hereby adopts a finding of
no significant impact on the environment and recommends issuance of a Negative
Declaration.
3. Based upon substantial evidence presented during the above
referenced public hearings on October 26, 1988 and November 16, 1988, including
written and oral staff reports, together with public testimony, this Council
hereby specifically finds as follows:

(a) The subject property is suitable for the uses permitted in
the proposed development district in terms of access, size, and
compatibility with existing land use in the surrounding area; and
(b) The proposed Development District pre-zone would not have
significant adverse impacts on the environment, nor the surrounding
properties; and
(c) The proposed Development District pre-zone is in conformance
with the General Plan.
4. The City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga hereby approves
the Application.
5. The Mayor shall sign this Ordinance and the City Clerk shall cause
the same to be published within fifteen (15) days after its passage at least
once in The Daily. Report, a newspaper of general circulation published in the
City of Ontario, CalifOrnia, and circulated in the City of Rancho Cucamonga,
Cal if ornia.
