A. CALL TO ORDER
A regular meeting of the Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District was held on Wednesday,
December 20, 2000 in the Council Chambers of the Civic Center, located at 10500 Civic Center
Drive, Rancho Cucamonga, California. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by President
William J. Alexander.
Present were Boardmembers: Paul Biane, James Curatalo, Bob Dutton, Diane Williams, and
President William J. Alexander.
Also present were: Jack Lam, City Manager; James Markman, City Attorney; Linda D. Daniels,
Redevelopment Agency Director; James C. Frost, City Treasurer; Larry Temple, Administrative
Services Director; Lorraine Phong, Information Systems Analyst; Shelly Munson, Information
Systems Specialist; Brad Buller, City Planner; Nancy Fong, Sr. Planner; Allen Warren, Associate
Planner; Shintu Bose, Deputy City Engineer; Bill Makshanoff, Building Official; Kevin McArdle,
Community Services Director; Dave Moore, Recreation Superintendent; Captain Rodney Hoops,
Police Department; Chief Dennis Michael, Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District; Jenny
Haruyama, Management Analyst I; and Debra J. Adams, Secretary.
B. ANNOUNCEMENTS/PRESENTATIONS
No announcements/presentations were made.
C. COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE PUBLIC
No communication was made from the public.
D. CONSENT CALENDAR
D1. Approvai to receive and file current Investment Schedule as of November 30, 2000.
D2. Approval of General Fund 01 Monthly Expenditure Report for November 2000, in the amount of
$1,012,562.52.
D3. Approval of Meilo-Roos CFD 85-01 Fund 02 Monthly Expenditure Report for November 2000, in
the amount of $354,850.63.
D4. Approval to accept the bids received, reject the bid received from Bryant Construction as non-
responsive, and award and authorize the execution of the contract in the amount of $36,850 ($33,500
plus 10% contingency) to the apparent low bidder, Vector Three Environmental (CO FD 00-008), for
the Repair and Upgrade of Underground Storage Fuel Tanks at Fire Station 171, to be funded from
Capital Outlay and Grounds Accounts No. 3-281-511-5602.

MOTION: Moved by Dutton, seconded by Williams to approve the staff recommendations in the staff
reports contained within the Consent Calendar. Motion carried unanimously 5-0.
E. PUBLIC HEARINGS
El. CONSIDERATION OF APPROVAL OF A RESOLUTION DECLARING RESULTS OF A
SPECIAL ELECTION IN COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT NO. 85-1 FOR ANNEXATION 00.1.
Staff report presented by Chief Dennis Michael, Fire Protection District.
President Alexander opened the meeting for public hearing. There being no response, the public
hearing was closed.
RESOLUTION NO. FD 00-020
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE RANCHO
CUCAMONGA FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT, RANCHO
CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING THE RESULTS OF A
SPECIAL ELECTION IN COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT NO. 85-1,
ANNEXATION NO. 00-1
MOTION: Moved by Curatalo, seconded by Biane to approve Resolution No. FD 00-020. Motion
carried unanimously 5-0.
E2. INTRODUCTION AND WAIVER OF FIRST READING OF AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE
LEVY OF A SPECIAL TAX IN COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT NO. 85-1, ANNEXATION 00-1.

MOTION: Moved by Dutton, seconded by Willjams to waive full reading and set second reading of
Ordinance No. FD 35 for the next Fire District meeting.
