A. CALL TO ORDER
A regular meeting of the Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District was held on Wednesday,
December 6, 2000 in the Council Chambers of the Civic Center, located at 10500 Civic Center Drive,
Rancho Cucamonga, California. The meeting was called to order at 10:19 p.m. by President
Alexander.
Present were Boardmembers: Paul Biane, James Curatalo, Bob Dutton, Diane Williams, and
President William J. Alexander.
Also present were: Jack Lam, City Manager; Pamela Easter, Deputy City Manager; James
Markman, City Attorney; James C. Frost, City Treasurer; Charles Scott, Sr. Information Systems
Analyst; Sam Davis, Information Systems Specialist; Brad Bullet, City Planner; Kirt Coury, Associate
Planner; Joe O'Neill City Engineer; Bill Makshanoff, Building Official; Kevin McArdle, Community
Services Director; Paula Pachon, Management Analyst III; Dave Moore, Recreation Superintendent;
Deborah Clark, Library Director; Lt. David Lau, Police Department; Chief Dennis Michael, Rancho
Cucamonga Fire Protection District; Duane Baker, Assistant to the City Manager; Diane O'Neal,
Assistant to the City Manager; Jenny Haruyama, Management Analyst I; and Debra J. Adams,
Secretary.

No announcements/presentations were made.

No communication was made from the public.

MOTION: Moved by Williams, seconded by Dutton to approve the minutes as listed. Motion carried
unanimously 5-0.

E. ADVERTISED PUBLIC HEARINGS
El. CONSIDERATION OF A RESOLUTION MAKING DETERMINATIONS AND AUTHORIZING THE
SUBMITTAL OF THE LEVY OF SPECIAL TAXES TO THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS OF TERRITORY
PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED TO AN EXISTING COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT AND
CALLING A SPECIAL ELECTION
Debra J. Adams, Secretary, stated that notice of the public hearing was given in the form and manner
as required by law.
Staff report presented by Chief Dennis Michael, Fire Protection District.
President Alexander opened the meeting for public hearing. There being no response, the public
hearing was closed.
RESOLUTION NO. FD 00-019
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE RANCHO
CUCAMONGA FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT, RANCHO
CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, ACTING AS THE LEGISLATIVE BODY OF
COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT NO. 85-1, MAKING CERTAIN
DETERMINATIONS AND AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL OF THE
LEVY OF SPECIAL TAXES TO THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS OF
CERTAIN TERRITORY PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED TO COMMUNITY
FACILITIES DISTRICT NO. 85-1
MOTION: Moved by Curatalo, seconded by Dutton to approve Resolution No. FD 00-019. Motion
carried unanimously 5-0.

No items were identified for the next meeting.
G. ADJOURNMENT
MOTION: Moved by Biane, seconded by Curatalo to adjourn. Motion carried unanimously 5-0. The
meeting adjourned at 10:25 p.m.
