Adjourned Meeting
A. CALL TO ORDER
An adjourned meeting of the Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District was held on Thursday, June 14,
2001 in the Council Chambers of the Civic Center, located at 10500 Civic Center Drive, Rancho
Cucamonga, California. The meeting was called to order at 4:42 p.m. by President William J. Alexander.
Present were Boardmembers: Paul Biane, Bob Dutton, Diane Williams, and President William J.
Alexander.
Also present were: Jack Lam, City Manager; Linda D. Daniels, Redevelopment Agency Director; Larry
Temple Administrative Services Director; Tamara Layne, Finance Officer; Ingrid Bruce, GIS Supervisor;
Deborah Clark, Library Director; Paula Pachon, Management Analyst III; Dave Moore, Recreation
Superintendent; Brad Buller, City Planner; Bill Makshanoff, Building Official; Joe O'Neil, City Engineer;
Shintu Bose, Deputy City Engineer; Captain Rodney Hoops, Police Department; Chief Dennis Michael,
Fire Protection District; and Debra J. Adams, City Clerk.
Absent was: Boardmember Grace Curatalo
B. PUBLIC HEARINGS
B1. CONSIDERATION TO ADOPT THE RANCHO CUCAMONGA FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT
GENERAL FUND PRELIMINARY BUDGET IN THE AMOUNT OF $9,583,240 FOR FISCAL YEAR
2001/2002 AND SET FINAL APPROVAL OF FINAL BUDGET FOR JULY 18, 2001
Staff report presented by Jack Lam, City Manager.
President Alexander opened the meeting for public hearing. There being no response, the public hearing
was closed.
MOTION: Moved by Dutton, seconded by Williams to adopt the preliminary budget for fiscal year
2001/2002. Motion carried unanimously 4-0-1 (Curatalo absent).
B2. CONSIDERATION TO ADOPT THE FISCAL YEAR 2001/2002 GENERAL FUND ARTICLE XIII-B
APPROPRIATIONS LIMIT IN THE AMOUNT OF $12,209,24.~

RESOLUTION NO. FD 01-009
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE RANCHO
CUCAMONGA FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT, SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY,
CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING A GENERAL FUND APPROPRIATIONS LIMIT FOR
FISCAL YEAR 2001/2002 PURSUANT TO ARTICLE XIII-B OF THE
CALIFORNIA CONSTITUTION
MOTION: Moved by Biane, seconded by Williams to approve Resolution No. FD 01-009. Motion carried
unanimously 4-0-1 (Curatalo absent).
B3. CONSIDERATION OF APPROVAL OF RESOLUTIONS ADOPTING A BUDGET IN THE AMOUNT
OF $3,000,410, ESTABLISHING AN APPROPRIATIONS LIMIT IN THE AMOUNT OF $6,368,316, AND
ESTABLISHING THE MAXIMUM SPECIAL TAX THAT COULD BE LEVIED IN COMMUNITY
FACILITIES DISTRICT NO. 85-1 FOR FISCAL YEAR 2001/2002

MOTION: Moved by Williams, seconded by Biane to approve Resolution Nos. FD 01-010, FD 01-
011 and FD 01-012. Motion carried unanimously 4-0-1 (Curatalo absent).
B4. CONSIDERATION OF APPROVAL OF RESOLUTIONS ADOPTING A BUDGET IN THE AMOUNT
OF $2,093,800 AND APPROVING THE APPROPRIATIONS LIMIT IN THE AMOUNT OF $693,762 FOI{
FISCAL YEAR 2001/2002 IN COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT NO. 88-1

CUCAMONGA FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT, SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY,
CALIFORNIA, APPROVING APPROPRIATIONS LIMIT FOR COMMUNITY
FACILITIES DISTRICT NO. 88-1 FOR FISCAL YEAR 2001/2002

B5. APPROVAL OF AGREEMENT (CO FD 01-004) FOR FUNDING FIRE PROTECTION SERVICES

was closed.
MOTION: Moved by Dutton, seconded by Biane to approve CO FD 01-004. Motion carried unanimously
4-0-1 (Curatalo absent).

D. ADJOURNMENT
MOTION: Moved by Williams, seconded by Dutton to adjourn. Motion carried unanimously 4-0-1
(Curatalo absent). The meeting adjourned at 4:46 p.m.
