CALLTO ORDER A regular meeting of the Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District was held on Wednesday, May 2, 2001 in the Council Chambers of the Civic Center located at 10500 Civic Center Drive, Rancho Cucamonga, California. The meeting was called to order at 7:01 p.m. by President William J. Alexander. Present were Boardmembers: Paul Blanc, Grace Curatalo, Bob Dutton, Diane Williams and President William J. Alexander. Also present were: Jack Lam, City Manager; Pamela Easter, Deputy City Manager; James Markman, City Attorney; Jan Reynolds, RDA Analyst; Flavio Nunez, Assistant RDA Analyst; Lynda Thompson, RDA Technician; Valerie Zuniga, Office Specialist II; Jim Frost, City Treasurer; Larry Temple, Administrative Services Director; Michael Toy, Information Systems Specialist; Sam Davis, Information Systems Specialist; Brad Buller, City Planner; Debra Meier, Contract Planner; Joe O'Neil, City Engineer; Shintu Bose, Deputy City Engineer; Bill Makshanoff, Building Official; Kevin McArdle, Community Services Director; Paula Pachon, Management Analyst III; Dave Moore, Recreation Superintendent; Deborah Clark, Library Director; Captain Rodney Hoops, Rancho Cucamonga Police Department; Chief Dennis Michael, Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District; Duane Baker, Assistant to the City Manager; Kathy Scott, Deputy City Clerk; Shirr'l Griffin, Office Specialist II; and Debra J. Adams, Secretary. B. ANNOUNCEMENTS/PRESENTATIONS B1. Presentation to Battalion Chief Jbh~ "Randy" McKee on his recent retirement from the Fire District. President Alexander and Fire Chief Dennis Michael made the presentation to Randy McKee and thanked him for his dedication to the City of Rancho Cucamonga. C. COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE PUBLIC No communication was made from the public. D. ADVERTISED PUBLIC HEARINGS D1. APPROVAL OF A RESOLUTION DECLARING ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY (RANCHO CUCAMONGA LAND CO. & FORECAST HOMES, TRACT 16105) TO AN EXISTING COMMUNITIER FACILITIES DISTRICT, CALLING A SPECIAL ELECTION AND AUTHORIZING SUBMITTAL OF LEVY OF SPECIAL TAXES TO THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS Staff repod presented by Chief Dennis Michael President Alexander opened the meeting for public hearing. FD 01-006 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE RANCHO CUCAMONGA FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT, RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, ACTING AS THE LEGISLATIVE BODY OF COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT NO. 85-1, MAKING CERTAIN DETERMINATIONS AND AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL OF THE LEVY OF SPECIAL TAXES TO THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS OF CERTAIN TERRITORY PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED TO COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT NO. 85-1 MOTOIN: Moved by Dutton, seconded by Williams to approve Resolution No. FD 01-006. Motion carried unanimously 5-0. E. IDENTIFICATION OF ITEMS FOR NEXT MEETING No items were identified for the next meeting. F. ADJOURNMENT MOTION: Moved by Biane, seconded by Alexander to adjourn.
