FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT MINUTES
Regular Meeting
A, CALLTO ORDER
A regular meeting of the Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District was held on Wednesday, November
7, 2001 in the Council Chambers of the Civic Center located at 10500 Civic Center Drive, Rancho
Cucamonga, California. The meeting was called to order at 7:07 p.m. by President William J. Alexander.
Present were Boardmembers: Paul Biane, Grace Curatalo, Bob Dutton, Diane Williams and President
William J. Alexander.
Also present were: Jack Lam, City Manager; James Markman, City Attorney; Linda D. Daniels,
Redevelopment Agency Director; Paula Pachon, Management Analyst Ilk Dave Moore, Recreation
Superintendent; Joe O'Neil, City Engineer, Shintu Bose, Deputy City Engineer; Jon Gillespie, Traffic
Engineer; Michelle Dawson, Management Analyst III; Robert Lemon, Assistant Engineer; Brad Buller, City
Planner; Bill Makshanoff, Building Official; Jim Frost, City Treasurer; Larry Temple, Administrative
Services Director; Ingrid Bruce, GIS/Special Districts Supervisor; Deborah Clark, Library Director; Chief
Dennis Michael, Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District; Captain Pete Ortiz, Police Department;
Deborah Clark, Library Director; Duane Baker, Assistant to the City Manager; Britt Wilson, Management
Analyst III; Kimberly Thomas, Management Analyst II; and Debra J. Adams, Secretary.
B. ANNOUNCEMENTS/PRESENTATIONS
BI. Presentation of a Proclamation to TAMCO Steel in recognition of their outstanding efforts to
improve their employees' safety.
Chief Dennis Michael talked about TAMCO and their efforts of promoting safety.
Mayor Alexander presented the Proclamation to Leonard Robinson
Mr. Robinson introduced the TAMCO family.
B2. Presentation of a Proclamation to TAMCO Steel employees Roosevelt Brown and Michael Perchan
in recognition of their life saving efforts to assist a fellow employee.
Mayor Alexander presented the Proclamation to Roosevelt Brown and Michael Perchan.
B3. Presentation of a Proclamation to Pastor David Keehn for his years of faithful service to the Rancho
Cucamonga Fire District.
Chief Michael talked about Pastor Keehn and told about his services to the Fire District.
Mayor Alexander presented the Proclamation to Pastor David Keehn.

No communication was made from the public.
D. CONSENT CALENDAR
DI. Approval of Minutes: October 17, 2001
MOTION: Moved by Biane, seconded by Dutton to approve the October 17, 2001 minutes. Motion
carried unanimously 5-0.
E. STAFF REPORTS
El. CONSIDERATION OF A PURCHASE AND SALE AGREEMENT (CO FD 01-009) BETWEEN THF
RANCHO CUCAMONGA FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT AND JOSEPH BONNEVILLE FOR
APPROXIMATELY ONE ACRE OF PROPERTY ON THE WEST SIDE OF EAST AVENUE AND
NORTH OF 23"~) STREET FOR A PROPOSED FIRE STATION FACILITY
Staff report presented by Chief Dennis Michael.
MOTION: Moved by Dutton, seconded by Curatalo to approve the Purchase and Sale Agreement.
Motion carried unanimously 5-0.

No items were identified for the next meeting.
G. ADJOURNMENT
MOTION: Moved by Williams, seconded by Biane to adjourn. Motion carried unanimously 5-0. The
meeting adjourned at 7:29 p.m.
