CALL TO ORDER A regular meeting of the Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District was held on Wednesday, January 16, 2002 in the Council Chambers of the Civic Center located at 10500 Civic Center Drive, Rancho Cucamonga, California. The meeting was called to order at 7:04 p.m. by President William J. Alexander. Present were Boardmembers: Paul Biane, Grace Curatalo, Bob Dutton, Diane Williams and President William J. Alexander. Also present were: Jack Lam, City Manager; James Markman, City Attorney; Linda D. Daniels, Redevelopment Agency Director; Flavio Nunez, Assistant RDA Analyst; Kevin McArdle, Community Services Director; Paula Pachon, Management Analyst Ilk Bill Makshanoff, Building Official; Joe O'Neil, City Engineer; Brad Buller, City Planner; Larry Henderson, Principal Planner; Nancy Fong, Sr. Planner; Larry Temple, Administrative Services Director; Sid Siphomsay, Information Systems Analyst; Chief Dennis Michael, Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District; Captain Pete Odiz, Police Department; Duane Baker, Assistant to the City Manager; Kimbedy Thomas, Management Analyst II; and Debra J. Adams, Secretary. B. ANNOUNCEMENTS/PRESENTATIONS B1. Presentation of retirement badges and commemorative plaques in honor of the retirements of Fire Engineer Duane Wolfe and Fire Engineer Mike Nauman. The presentation was made by President Alexander and Fire Chief Dennis Michael. B2. Presentation of a Proclamation to the Alta Loma Riding Club for their dedication to our community through their humane efforts to protect and preserve the lives of animals in our community. Peter Bryan, Battalion Chief, gave comments about the program. He assisted Mayor Alexander with the presentation of the Proclamation to Vicki Vaughn and Buddy Hurn and other members of the Alta Loma Riding Club. B3. Presentation of a Proclamation to Fire Explorer Daniel Carson recognizing his outstanding achievements as the Fire Chief for the 10th Annual Inland Empire Fire Explorer Academy. Dennis Michael, Fire Chief, presented information about Daniel Carson and the Academy. He commended him for his accomplishments. Mayor Alexander presented a Proclamation to Daniel Carson, Fire Explorer. C. COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE PUBLIC No communication was made from the public. Approval to receive and file current Investment Schedule as of November 30 and December 31, 2001. D3. Approval of General Fund 01 Monthly Expenditure Report for November 2001 in the amount of $839,847.27 and December 2001 in the amount of $79I ,514.28. D4. Approval of Mello-Roos CFD 85-01 Fund 02 Monthly Expenditure Report for November in the amount of $293,372.57 and December 2001 in the amount of $258,061.51. D5. Approval of Mello-Roos CFD 88-01 Fund 03 Monthly Expenditure Report for November 2001 in the amount of $18,893.50. D6. Approval of a Resolution authorizing the destruction of Fire District Records pursuant to California Government Code Section 34090, the District's Records Retention Schedule, and other applicable legal citations. RESOLUTION NO. FD 02-001 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE RANCHO CUCAMONGA FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT, RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE DESTRUCTION OF DISTRICT RECORDS WHICH ARE NO LONGER REQUIRED AS SET FORTH IN CALIFORNIA GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 34090 AND OTHER APPLICABLE LEGAL REFERENCES MOTION: Moved by Dutton, seconded by Williams to approve the staff recommendations in the staff reports contained within the Consent Calendar. Motion carried unanimously 5-0. E. IDENTIFICATION OF ITEMS FOR NEXT MEETING No items were identified for the next meeting. F. ADJOURNMENT MOTION: Moved by Biane, seconded by Curatalo to adjourn.
