HomeMy WebLinkAbout02-077 - Resolutions RESOLUTION NO. 02-077 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO CUCAMONGA,CALIFORNIA,SUMMARILY ORDERING THE VACATION OF EXCESS RIGHT-OF-WAY AT THE SOUTHWEST SIDE OF THE KNUCKLE INTERSECTION OF MALVERN AVENUE AND SALINA STREET WHEREAS,by Chapter 4,Article 1, Section 8330,of the Streets and Highway Code, the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga is authorized to summarily vacate the excess right-of-way at the southwest side of the knuckle intersection of Malvern Avenue and Salina Street; and WHEREAS, the City Council found by all the evidence submitted that the excess right-of-way is unnecessary for present or prospective public street purposes, it has not been used for more than five (5) consecutive years and no public money was expended for maintenance of same. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga as follows: SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga hereby makes its order vacating excess right-of-way at the southwest side of the knuckle intersection of Malvern Avenue and Salina Street, as described in Exhibit "A" and shown on Exhibit"B". SECTION 2: That the City Clerk shall cause a certified copy of this resolution to be recorded in the office of the County Recorder of San Bernardino County, California. SECTION 3: That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution, and it shall thereupon take effect and be in force.
