(i) On April 6, 1981, the City of Rancho Cucamonga approved the
enau~Lent of the General Plan through the adcptic~ of Resolution No. 81-40.
(ii) On November 15, 1991, the City of Rancho Oacamonga filed an
application for General Plan Amendment No. 92-02, S~lbarea H, as described in
the title of this Resolution. Hereinafter in this Resolution, the subject
General Plan Amendment is referred to as "the application."
(iii) On Feb,_ m~y 26, 1992, the Plann/ng C~mLdssion of tb~ City of
Rancho Cucamonga conducted a duly noticed public hearing on the application
ar~ following the conclusion of said public hearing, adopted Resolution No.
92-39 rec~m~ to the City Council that the application be denied.
(iv) On A~ril 15, 1992, the City Council of the City of Rancho
Cucamonga conducted a duly noticed public hearing and concluded said hearing
prior to the adoption of this Resolution.
(v) All legal prerequisites prior to the adoption of the Resolution
B. Resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, t_he City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga does
hereby find, determine, and resolve as follc~s:
1. ~his Council hereby specifically finds that all of the facts set
forth in the Recitals, Part A, of this Resolution are true and correct.
2. Based upon substantial evidence presented to this Council during
the above-referenced public hearing on April 15, 15~2, includirg written and
oral staff reports, together with public testimony, this Council hereby
specifically finds as follows:
(a) 7he application applies to 12.14 acres of land located on
the west side of Vineyard Avenue, approximately 600 feet south of Foothill
Boulevard and is ur~!evelcped; said property is currently designated Medium
Residential (8-14 dwelling units per acre); and

(b) ~he properties to the north of the subject site are
designated C~,,ercial and are developed with single family residences and
vacant land; the property to the south is designated Medium Residential (8-14
dwell/rig units per acre) and 'is developed with single family residences and
condominiums; the Uroperty to the east is designated M~dium Residential (8-14
~lling units per acre) and is developed with con~mdniums; the ~ to
the w~st is designated Flood Oontrol/Utility ~rr_ id~r and is developed with

General Plan and will not provide for develc~ within the district in a
manner cc~istent with the General Plan and with related develop; and
(d) This ~nt does not promote the goals and objectives of

3. Based upon the findings and oc~clusic~s set forth in parac~ 1
and 2 above, this Council hereby resolves to deny General Plan Amendment
92-02, Subarea H, to a~end the General Plan Land Use Map frc~ Medium
Residential (8-14 dwelling units per acre) to Imw-Medium Residential (4-8
dwelling units per acre) for 12.14 acres of land located on the west side of
Vineyard Avenue, appr~tely 600 feet south of Foothill Boulevard as shown
in Exhibit "A."
4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
