A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO

(i) On April 6, 1981, the City of Rancho Cucamonga approved the
enauh~¥c of the General Plan through the adoptic~ of Resolution No. 81-40.
(ii) On November 15, 1991, the city of Rancho Cucamonga filed an
application for General Plan Amendment No. 92-02, Subarea F, as described in
the title of this Resolution. Hereinafter in f_his Resolution, the subject
(iii) on F~bmm~y 26, 1992, the Planning C~m~ission of the City of
Rancho Cucamonga conducted a duly noticed public hearing on the application
and following the conclusion of said public hearing, adopted Resolution No.
92-37 rec~,,~~ to the City Council that the application be denied.
(iv) on April 15, 1992, the City Council of the City of Rancbm
Cucamonga oonducted a duly noticed public hearing and concluded said hearing
prior to the adoption of this Resolution.
(v) All legal prerequisites prior to the adoption of this Resolution
have occurred.
B. Resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, the city Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga does
hereby find, determine, and resolve as follc~s:
1. This Council hereby specifically finds that all of the facts set
forth in the Recitals, Part A, of this Resolution are true and correct.
2. Based upon substantial evidence presented to this Council during
the above-referenced public hearing on April 15, 1992, including written and
oral staff reports, together with public testimony, this Council hereby
specifically finds as follows:
(a) The application applies to 4.95 acres of land located on
the south-s_ .~c corner of Arrow Route and Madrone Avenue and is developed with
single family residences and a nursery; said property is currently designated
Med~_ium Residential (8-14 dwelling units per acre); and

(b) ~he properties to the north of the subject site are
designated Medium Residential (8-14 dwelling units per acre) and are developed
with single family residences; the property to the south is designated
Commercial and is developed with single family residences, offices, and a
restaurant; the property to the east is designated Medium Residential (8-14
dwelling units per acre) and is developed with con~mminiums; the property to
the west is designated Medium ~esidential (8-14 dwelling units per acre) and
is developed with condominiums; and
(c) This amendment conflicts with the Land Use Policies of the
General Plan and will not provide for develo~ within the district in a
manner consistent with the General Plan and with related develo~nt; and
(d) This amendment d°es not ~ the goals and objectives of
(e) The properties located in Subarea F of this application are
not suitable f~r the uses permitted in the px~posed land use designatic~ and
are not compatible with existing and adjacent land use designations as
evidenced by the proximity of C~a,ercial land to the south and ex/sting
(f) ~ amendment would not have significant impacts on th~
and findings of the Environmental Assessment.
3. Based upon the f~ and conclusions set forth in p~ragr~s 1
and 2 above, this Council hereby resolves to deny General Plan Amendment
92-02, Subarea F, to amend the General Plan ~a~d Use Map frc~ Medium
Residential (8-14 dw~llir~ units per acre) to Low-Med_~ium Residential (4-8
dwelling units per acre) for 4.95 acres of land located on the southeast
corner of Arrc~ Route and Madrone Avenue as shown in Exhibit "A."
4. ~he City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
