A. Recitals.
(i) On April 6, 1981, the City of Rancho Cucamonga approved the
enactment of the General Plan through the adoptic~ of Resolution No. 81-40.
(ii) On Novea-~er 15, 1991, the City of Raft. ho Cucamonga filed an
application for General Plan Amendment No. 92-02, Stlbarea E, as described in
the title of this Resolution. Here~ in this Resolution, the subject
General Plan Amendment is referred to as "the application."
(iii) On F~h~mry 26, 1992, the Planning O~,i.~sion of the City of
~ Cucam0nga conducted a duly noticed public hearing on the application
and following the conclusion of said public hearing, adopted Resolution No.
92-35 recu~L~ to the City Oouncil that the application be denied.
(iv) On April 15, 1992, the City Council of the City of Rancho
Cucamonga conducted a duly noticed public hearing and concluded said hearing
prior to the adoption of this Resolution.
(v) All legal prerequisites prior to the adoption of this Resolution
B. Resolution.
NOW, T~tREFORE, the City Council of the City of Rancho (~ does
hereby find,, determine, and resolve as follows:
1. %his Council hereby specifically finds that all of th~ facts set
forth in the Recitals, Part A, of this Resolution are true and correct.
2. Based upon substantial evidence presented to t_his Council during
the above-referenced public hearing on April 15, 1992, includir~ written and
oral staff reports, together with public testimony, this Council hereby
specifically finds as follc~:
(a) The application applies to 6.71 acres of land located on
the northeast corner of Arrow P~ute and Baker Avenue and is developed with
single family residences; said property is currently designated Medium
Residential (8-14 dwelling units per acre); and

(b) The property to the north of the subject sita is designated
Medium Residential (8-14 dwelling units per acre) and is undeveloped; the
properties to the south are designated Medium ~esidential (8-14 dwelling units
per acre) and are developed with cc~dc~dniums and single f~m~ly residences;
the property to the east is Medium Residential (8-14 d~_ll~ units per acre)
P~sidential (8-14 dw~llir~ units per acre) and are developed with single
family residences; and
(c) ~ amendment conflicts with the Land Use Policies of the
General Plan and will not provide for develc~ within the district in a
manner consistent with the General Plan and with related develc~nt; and
(d) ~ amendment does not ~ the goals and objectives of
the Land Use Element; and
(e) ~he properties located in Subarea E of this application are
are not compatible with existir~ ar~ adjacent land use designations as
evidenoed by the prcw~m4ty of land developed or approved for Medium
Residential projects to the north and south of the subject properties; and
(f) ~ amendment would not have significant impacts c~ the
and findings of the E~i%~mental Assessment.
3. Based upon the find/rigs and conclusions set fc~ch in parag~ 1
and 2 above, this Council hereby resolves to deny General Plan Amendment
92-02, Subarea E, to a~_nd the Ge/leral Plan Land Use F~p frc~ Medium
Residential (8-14 dwelling units per acre) to Imw-Medium ~esidential (4-8
dwelling units per acre) for 6.71 acres of land located c~ the northeast
corner of Arrow Route and Baker Avenue as shown in Exhibit "A."
4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoptic~ of this Resolution.
