(i) On April 6, 1981, the City of Rancho Ctr~mnonga approved the
enau~ent of the General Plan through the adoption of Resolution No. 81-40.
(ii) On November 15, 1991, the City of Rancho ~nga filed an
application for General Plan Amendment No. 92-02, Subarea D, as described in
the title of this Resolution. M~reinafter in this Resolution, tb~ subject
General Plan Amendment is referred to as "the application."
(iii) On Fm _hruary 26, 1992, the Planning Cu. mdssion of the City of
Rancho Cucamonga conducted a duly noticed public hearing on the application
and following the conclusion of said public hearing, adopted Resolution No.
92-33 recu~merzlirg to the City Council that the application be denied.
(iv) On April 15, 1992, the City Council of the City of Rancho
Cu~ conducted a duly noticed public hearing and concluded said hearing
prior to the adoption of this Resolution.
(v) All legal prerequisites prior to the adoption of this Resolution
B. Resolution.
NC~, THI~J~nDRE, the City Council of the City of Rancb~ Cucamonga does
hereby find, determine, ar~ resolve as follows:
1. This Council hereby specifically finds that all of the facts set
forth in tb~ Recitals, Part A, of this Resolution are true and correct.
2. Based upon su~-tantial evidence presented to this Council during
the above-referenced public hearing on April 15, 1992, including written and
oral staff reports, together with public testimony, this Council hereby
specifically finds as follows:
(a) The application applies to 8.63 acres of land located on
the northwest corner of Arrc~ Route and Baker Avenue and is developed with
single family residences; said pro~ is currently designated Medium
Residential (8-14 dwelling units per acre); and

(b) The property to the north of the subject site is designated
Medium Residential (8-14 dwellir~ units per acre) and is developed with
c~'ums; the p~operty to the south is designated Low Residential (2-4
dwelling units per acre) and is developed with single family residences; the
property to the east is designated Medium Residential (8-14 dwelling unite per
acre) and is developed with single family residences and vacant land; tb~
property to the west is designated Low Residential (2-4 dw~llir~ units per
acre) and is developed with single family residences; and
(c) ~ amendment conflicts with the Ta~d Use Policies of the
General Plan and will not provide for develc~ within the d/strict in a
manner consistent with the General Plan and with related develoF~ent; and
(d) ~ amendment does not Urcm,~ce the goa]~ and objectives of
the Land Use Element; and
(e) The properties located in Subarea D of this applicatic~ are
not suitable for the uses permitted in the proposed land use designation and
are not compatible with existing and adjacent land use designations as
evidenced by the unusual lot ccnfigurations and the difficulty of the subject
(f) ~ amendment ~ould not have significant impacts un the
and findings of the ~r~l Assessment.
3. Based upon the findings and conclusions set forth in para~ 1
and 2 above, this Council hereby resolves to deny General Plan Amendment
92-02, Subarea D, to amend the General Plan Land Use Map frc~ Medium
Residential (8-14 dwelling units per acre) to Low-Medium Residential (4-8
dwelling units per acre) for 8.63 acres of land located c~ the ~
corner of Arrow Route and Baker Avenue as shown in Exhibit "A."
4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
