(i) On April 6, 1981, the City of Rancho Cucamo~ approved the
enautment of the General Plan throu~ the adoption of Resolution No. 81-40.
(ii) On November 15, 1991, the City of Rancho CucamomFa filed an
application for General Plan Amendment No. 92-02, SLlbarea A, as described in
the title of this Resolution. Hereinafter in this Resolution, the subject
General Plan Amendment is referred to as "the a~plication."
(iii) On February 26, 1992, the Planning O--,~mission of the City of
Rancho Cucamonga conducted a duly noticed public hearing on the application
and follc~ing the conclusion of said public hearing, ad~ Resolution No.
92-25 recum~ending to the City Council that the application be denied.
(iv) On April 15, 1992, the City Council of the City of Rancho
Cucamonga conducted a duly noticed public hearing and concluded said hearing
prior to the adoption of this Resolution.
(v) All leqal prerequisites prior to the adoption of this Resolution
B. Resolution.
NC~, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga does
hereby find, determine, ar~ resolve as foll~s:
1. %kis Council hereby specifically finds that all of the facts set
forth in the Recitals, Part A, of this Resolution are true and correct.
2. Based upon substantial evidence presented to this Council during
the above-referenced public hearing on April 15, 1992, including written and
oral staff reports, together with public test~, this Council hereby
specifically finds as follc~s:
(a) The application applies to 5.71 acres of land located on
the south side of Foothill Boulevard, west of the Cucamo~ Creek and is
undevel~; said property is currently designat~ Medium Residential (8-14
dwelling units per acre); and

(b) The properties to the north of the subject site are
designated Office and are partially developed with offices; the property to
the scuth is designated Medium Residential (8-14 dwelling units per acre) and
Corridor and is developed with the Cucamonga Creek Flood Control Channel; the
pro~ to the w~st is designated Medium Residential (8-14 dwelling units per
acre) and is developed with a mobile hume park; and
(c) This amendment conflicts with the Tmnd Use Policies of the
General Plan and will not provide for develo~ within the district in a
manner consistent with the General Plan and with related develop; and
(d) This amendment does not promote the goals and objectives of

not suitable for the uses permitted in the uropcsed land use designation and
are not compatible with existing and adjacent land use designatioms as
evidenced by the mobile hcme park, flood control channel, and major divided
arterial bordering the subject properties on three sides; in addition, there
are no existing single family larx~ use designations in the immediate vicinity,
therefore, the prcpoeed land use designation of I~um Residential wuuld

3. Based upon the findings and conclusio~ set forth in para~ 1
and 2 above, this Ccuncil hereby resolves to deny General Plan Amendment
92-02, Subarea A, to amend the General Plan Lar~ Use Map frc~ F~dium
Residential (8-14 dwelling units per acre) to Low-Medium Residential (4-8
dwelling units per acre) for 5.71 acres of land located on the south side of
Foothill Boulevard, w~st of the Cucamonga Creek as shcm~ in Emh/bit "A."
4. ~he City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
