CALL TO ORDER II A regular meeting of the Rancho Gucamonga Fire Protection District was held on Wednesday, April 16, 2003, in the Council Chambers of the Civic Center located at 10500 Civic Center Drive, Rancho Cucamonga, California. President William J. Alexander called the meeting to order at 7:02 p.m. Present were Boardmembers: Rex Gutierrez, Robert J. Howdyshell, Donald J. Kurth, M.D., Diane Williams and President William J. Alexander. Aisc present were: Jack Lam, City Manager; Pamela Easter, Deputy City Manager; James Markman, City Attorney; Linda D. Daniels, RDA Director; James C. CONSENT CALENDAR Councilmember Howdyshell asked that Item D6 be continued to the next meeting because he had some questions and would like to get them answered before he votes on this. Approval of General Fund 281 Monthly Expenditure Report for Mamh 2003, in the amount of $1,030,356.78. D4. Approval of Mello-Roos CFD 85-1 Fund 282 Monthly Expenditure Report for Mamh 2003, in the amount of $178,108.28 D5. Approval of Mello-Roos CFD 88-1 Fund 283 Net Monthly Expenditure Report for March 2003, in the amount of $4,910.76. D6. Approval to purchase one Lifepak 12 Cardiac Monitor from a single source vendor, Medtronic Physico-Control Corp., in the amount of $26,750.00 from Acct. No. 3-283-516-5603. REMOVED FROM AGENDA BY HOWDYSHELL. D7. Approval to appropriate from Fire District Reserves to Community Facilities District Acct. 3-283- 516-5602 the amount of $26,832 ($22,360 including 20% contingency) for offsite improvements involving the Gas Company associated with the construction of Fire Station No. 176. D8. Approval to extend the current Fire Battalion Chief/Fire Marshal Eligibility List set to expire on April 24, 2003 to April 24, 2004. Dg. Approval to adopt a boundary map showing property within Tract 16302 (American Pacific Homes) to be annexed into (CFD) No. 85-1. RESOLUTION NO. FD 03-003 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE RANCHO CUCAMONGA FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT, RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, ACTING AS THE LEGISLATIVE BODY OF COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT NO. 85-1, ADOPTING A BOUNDARY MAP SHOWING PROPERTY TO BE ANNEXED TO COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT NO. 65-1 D10. Approval to adopt a Resolution of Intention to Annex Territory referred to as Annexation No. 03-2 (Tract 16302) into Community Facilities District No. 85-1, specifying facilities and services provided to set and specify the special taxes to be levied within the annexation and set a time and place for a public hearing related to the annexation. RESOLUTION NO. FD 03-004 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE RANCHO CUCAMONGA FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT, RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, ACTING AS THE LEGISLATIVE BODY OF COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT NO. 85-1, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO AUTHORIZE THE ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY TO COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT NO. 85-1 Dl1. FD 03-005 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE RANCHO CUCAMONGA FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT, RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, ACTING AS THE LEGISLATIVE BODY OF COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT NO. 85-1, ADOPTING A BOUNDARY MAP SHOWING PROPERTY TO BE ANNEXED TO COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT NO. 85-1 D12. FD 03-006 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE RANCHO CUCAMONGA FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT, RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, ACTING AS THE LEGISLATIVE BODY OF COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT NO. 85-1, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO AUTHORIZE THE ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY TO COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT NO. 85-1 MOTION: Moved by Kurth, seconded by Williams to approve the staff recommendations in the staff reports contained within the Consent Calendar with the exception of item D6. Motion carried unanimously 5-0. MOTION: Moved by Gutierrez, seconded by Howdyshell to continue item D6 to the May 7, 2003 meeting. Motion carried unanimously 5-0. El. REPORT ON INSTALLATION AND OPERATION OF ACCESS GATE INTO CUCAMONGA CANYON (Oral) Staff report presented by Battalion Chief Mike Bell. ACTION: Report received and filed. II F. BOARD BUSINESS Fl. REPORT ON INTENSIFICATION OF PUBLIC ASSEMBLY INSPECTION PROGRAM (Oral) Boardmember Kurth felt the public should know about this since public safety is so important. Boardmember Williams asked if she could get a copy of the survey once all of the information is collected. Chief Bell stated they would be happy to provide the information. UPDATE ON FIRE STATION NO. 176 IN NORTHEAST RANCHO CUCAMONGA (Oral) Staff report presented by Jack Lam, City Manager. ACTION: Report received and filed. [ G. IDENTIFICATION OF ITEMS FOR THE NEXT 1VIEETING [ No items were identified for the next meeting. MOTION: Moved by Kurth, seconded by Howdyshell to adjourn. Motion carried unanimously 5-0.
