Where piping on the Drawings is under pavement, install the piping in the adjacent planting area. 2. All piping shall be assembled free from dirt. 3. The main line shall be flushed out and tested for leaks before backfilling. Each section of lateral pipe shall be flushed out before sprinkler heads are attached. 4. Generally, piping under concrete shall be done by jacking, boring or hydraulic driving, but where any cutting or breaking of concrete work is necessary it shall be done and replaced by this Contractor as part of the Contract cost. Permission to cut or break sidewalks and/or concrete must be obtained from the City Authorized Representative. No hydraulic driving will be permitted under asphaltic concrete paving. 5.
