A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAN(ltO
CUCA~ONGA, CALIFORNIA, DE(LARING ITS INT~TION TO ORDER THE
ANNEXATION TO LANDSCAPE MAINT~ANCE DISTRICT NO. 1, AN
ASSESSMENT DISTRICT: DESICNATIN~ SAID ANNEXATION AS
ANNEXATION NO. 32 TO LANDSCAPE NAINT~ANCR DISTRICT NO. 1;
PURSUANT TO THE LANDSCAPING AND LIGHTING ACT OF 1972 AND
OFF~RI~I A TIM~ AND PLACE FOR HEARING ~JECTIONS THERFfO
NO~, THEREFORE 8E IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Rancho Cucmonsao pursuant to the provisions of the Lmndscapin~ and Lishtin$
Ac~ of 1971, bein~ Division 15 of the Streets and Hishways Cods of the State of
California, as folloes=
SECTION 1: Description of Work: That the public interest and
convenience require and'"lt is the intention of this City Council to form a
~=intenanca district in the City of Rancho Cucs-on~a for the ~aintanance and
opera~ion of those parkways and facilities thereon dedicated for common
~reenbalt purposes by deed or recorded subdivision tract sap within the
boundaries of the proposed maintenance district described in Section 2 hereof.
Said aaintanance and operation includes the cost and supervision of any
sprinkler syst~-, trees, ~rasa, plantin~s, landscapin$, ornamental li~htin$,
structures, and walls in connection w'ith said parkeays.
SECTION 2: Location of Works The fore$oin8 described work is to be
located within roadway fish,-of-way and landscapin~ easanents of Landscape
Maintenance District No. 1 enunsratsd in the report of the City En$ineer and
more particularly described on asps which ara on file in the office of the City
Clerk, entitled "Annexation No. 32 to Landscape Maintenance District No. 1".
SECTION 3: Description of Assessment District: That the
contemplated work, in. the opinion of said City Council, is of more than local
or ordinar~ public benefit, and the said City Council hereby emkes the expense
of the said work charseable upon a district, which said district is assessed to
pay the costs and expenses thereof, and which district is described as follows:
All that certain territory of the City of Rancho Cucsmonsa
included within the exterior boundary lines shown.upon that
certain "Nap of Annexation No. 32 to Landscape Maintenance
District No. 1" heretofore approved by the City Council of
said City by Resolution No. 87-136, indicatin$ by said
boundary lines the extent of the territory included within
the proposed asses--ant district and which map is on file
in the office of the City Clerk of said City.
SECTION4: Report of Engineer: The City Council of said City by
Resolution No. 87-136 has approved the report of the ensineer of work which
report indicates the smoun= of the proposed assessmen=, the district boundary,
assessment zones, titled "Ensineer, s Report, Annexation No. 32 Landscape
Main~enance District No. 1" is on file in the office of the City Clerk of said
City. Reference to said report is hereby made for all particulars for the
amount and extent of the asseaments and for the extent of the work.
SECTION 5: Collection of Assessments: The asses~ent shall be
collected at the same time and in the same manner as County taxes are
collected. The City Ensineer shall file a report annually with the Cit7
Council of said City end said Council will annually conduct a hearin8 upon said
report at their first regular msetin$ in June, at which time assessments for
the next fiscal year will be determined.
SECTION 6= Time and Place of Hearine: Notice is hereby 8ivan that
on April 15, 1987 at the hour of 7130 P.M. in the City Council C~smbers at 9161
Base Line, in the City of Rancho Cucamonsa, any and all persons having any
ob] ection~ to the work or extent of the assessment district, may appear and

shc~ cause why said work should not be done or carried out or why said district
should not be fo~med in accordance with this Resolution of Intention. Protests
must be in writing and must contain a description of the proper~y in which each
signer thereof is interested, sufficient to identify the same, and must be
delivered to the Cit~ Clerk of said City prior to the time set for the hearing,
and no other protests or objections will be considered. If the signer of any
protest is not sheen upon the last equalized assessment roll of San Bernardino
County as the ~ener of the proper~y described in the protests, then such
protest must contain or be accompanied by written evidence that such signer is
the ~ner of the proper~y so described.
SBCTION ?: Landscaping and Liihtin~ Act of 1972: All the work
here/n proposed shall be done and carried throush in pursuance of an act of the
legislature of the State of California designated the Landscaping and Lishting
Act of 1972, being Division 15 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of
California.
SECTION 82 Publication of Resolution of Intention: Published notice
shell be made pursuant to Section 61961 of the Government Code. The Nayor
shall sign this Resolution and the Cit-y Clerk shall attest to the same. and the
C~y Clerk shall cause the same to be published 10 days before the date set for
the hearing, at learnt once in The Daily Report, a newspaper of general
circulation published in the C/t-y o£ Onta.~. o, California, and circulated in the
City of ~ancho Cucmonga, California.
