BACKGROUND/ANALYSIS
The Mobile ours it Pollution ReductionReview o i e°s ( ) Clean Transportation
Funding Local Government MatchProgram offers funding for clean it projects to cities
counties within the South Coast Air Quality ManagementDistrict ( ) to assist in local efforts
to reduce air pollution.
e City of Rancho Cucamonga secured i for two active transportation programs; the
Greeni Zones cific Electric Trail Safety Enhancementr j c ,4 ) and the
Southwest c o Class 1 Bicycle Lanes roj ct ( 1, ). Specifically, these two projects
include:
1. Green Bike Zonesn cific Electric Trail Safety EnhancementProject
application of green-coloredpavement in identified conflict zones, turning conflict
areas, bike boxes, and intersection cro in s throughout the City.
• The installation and evaluation of safety enhanc nt t twelve (1 ) Pacific Electric
Trail crossings from the westerneastern it limits (7.4 miles from Groveto the 1-1

The construction of approximately 4.31 miles of Class -1 bikeIns to improve
current surface for walking and bicyclinginstallation of pathsign age, striping,
and crossing improvements at the followinglocations:
