Administration of Oath of Office for Newly Appointed Public Art Committee Member Tara Bryan and Re- appointed Public Art Committee Members Ebony McGee and Iliana Salas. C. Public Communications This is the time and place for the general public to address the Public Art Committee on any item listed on the agenda. State law prohibits the Public Art Committee from addressing any issue not previously included on the Agenda. The Public Art Committee may receive testimony and set the matter for a subsequent meeting. Comments are to be limited to three (3) minutes per individual. D. Committee Business D1. Consideration to approve the minutes of December 2, 2025. D2. Selection of Chair and Vice Chair – Public Art Committee. D3. Verbal update on the Status of the Public Art Fund. D4. Verbal update on current fiscal year public art projects and initiatives. D5. Verbal update on the proposed projects for Fiscal Year 2026/2027. D6. Verbal update on the next Public Art Committee meeting date. E. Allison Town Public Art Committee Secretary City of Rancho Cucamonga Public Art Committee Agenda PUBLIC ART COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES December 2, 2025 At 5:30 p.m. A. CALL TO ORDER The City of Rancho Cucamonga Public Art Committee held a special meeting on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, in the Serrano Conference Room at City Hall, located at 10500 Civic Center Drive, Rancho Cucamonga, California. Chair Leslie Matamoros called the meeting to order at 5:38 p.m. Present: Committee Members Tina Gilfry, Leslie Matamoros, Ilianna Salas Absent: Committee Members Bryan Dopp, Ebony McGee Andersen Also Present: Allison Town, Management Analyst I B. PUBLIC COMMUNICATIONS No public communications were made. C. COMMITTEE BUSINESS C1. Consideration to approve the minutes of September 2, 2025. MOTION: Moved by Tina Gilfry, seconded by Ilianna Salas to approve the meeting minutes of September 2, 2025. Motion carried 3-0 (AYES: Gilfry, Matamoros, and Salas. NOES: None.) C2. Verbal update on the Status of the Public Art Fund. MOTION: N/A Allison Town provided an update on the status of the Public Art Fund balance. Current Public Art Trust Fund - $605,398.38. Amount Remaining for FY 25/26 - $60,184. C3. Verbal update on current fiscal year public art projects and initiatives. MOTION: N/A Allison Town provided an update on the Mini Mural Project. Four (4) artists have been selected to paint four (4) intersection locations: • Pacific Electric Trail @ Grove Avenue [one directional marker]  Jeaneen Carlino Allen • Pacific Electric Trail @ Amethyst Avenue [two directional markers]  Carly Lake • Pacific Electric Trail @ Archibald Avenue [two directional markers]  Crisselle Mendiola • Pacific Electric Trail @ Ramona Avenue [one directional marker]  Wendy Duong Town will coordinate final designs with the artists by January 15, 2026. Installation will take place in February 2026. Town also provided an update on the next round of the Utility Box Beautification Program. The Call for Artists will launch February 2, 2026. Application Submission Deadline will be February 26, 2026, by 11:59 p.m. (PST) or until 100 applications are received (per CaFE subscription). C4. Verbal update on the proposed projects for Fiscal Year 2026/2027. MOTION: N/A Town shared that City staff are beginning to plan for projects in FY 26/27, pulling inspiration from the Creative Placemaking & Public Art Strategic Plan. Discussion centered on artist-in- residency opportunities with Randall Lewis Second Story and Beyond® and the San Bernardino County Department of Behavioral Health (DBH). Town shared the DBH Into Light Exhibition opportunity will feature original portraits and individual stories of people who have died from the disease of drug addiction. The mission of this exhibit is to change the conversation about drug addiction through the power of original art and storytelling. Staff are researching logistics to bring the exhibition to Rancho Cucamonga City Hall in 2026. C5. Verbal update on the next Public Art Committee meeting date. MOTION: N/A Allison Town informed the Public Art Committee that the next meeting would be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2026. D.
