1. q~e purpose and intent of this ~msoluti~m is to ~line the
review process for certain land uses. ~e Foothill Boulevard S~ecific Plan
currently provides regulations for the use of land. Prior to the adc~/~ of
this Besolutiom, this Oma~il had available ar~ reviewed a detailed study

2. On June 8, 1994, the Planning O~L.,~ion of the City of Rancho
O~monga conducted a duly noticed public hearing oonoernin~ the above-
referenced amendment and, following the conclusion thereof, adopted its
Resolution No. 94-51, reo~m,~/xii~g that the City Oouncil adopt these
amemdments.
3. On July 20, 1994, the City Council conducted ap~ c~cluded a
duly noticed public hearing conoern/ng the subject amendments to the Foothill
Boulevard Specific Plan.
4. All legal prerequisites prior to the adoption of this Resolution
have occurred.
B. P~solution.
Tne City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga does hereby resolve
as follc~s:
SEL~CION 1: The City Oouncil hereby specifically finds that all of
the facts set forth in the Recitals, Part A, of this Resolution are true and
correct.
StDCTION 2: The City Council of the City of Rancho O~mmonga hereby
finds that this mi~htent is es~mhlished and adopted to protect and promote
the public health, safety, morals, cc~fort, convenience, and welfare; and more
particul=ly:

1. ~hat the proposed amendment is in conformance with the General
Plan of the City of Rancho
2. That the propoeed ~.t~ent is consistent with the Development
Code of the City of Rancho O~amonga;
3. That the proposed amendment does not conflict with the Land Use
Policies of the General Plan and will provide for development within the
district in a manner consistent with the General Plan and with relat~d_

the Foothill Boulevard Specific Plan.
S~CTION 3: The City Council of the City of Rancho Cu~ku,OlK3~ hereby
finds that the ~roject hz~ be~n pr~ an~ reviewed in ~mpliance with the
California ~v~l Quality Act of 1970, as amended, and the Guidelines
prc~ulgated thereunder, and further, specifically finds that besed upon
substantial evidence, it can be seen with certainty that there is no
possibility that the proposed Resolutio~ will have a significant effect c~ the
State C~ Guidelines, Section 15061 (b) (3).
S]~CI~ON 4: The Foothill Boulevard Specific Plan text, Part IV,
Sectic~ 9, oc~m~_nc~ on page IV-9.4a, is hereby amended to read as attached,
and all lists of permitted and conditionally permitted uses in Subareas 1, 2,
3, and 4 are hereby amended aocordingly.
S~CTION 5: The City Council declares that, should any provision,
section, para~, sentence, or w~rd of this Resolution be rendered or
declared invalid by any final oourt action in a oourt of cc~
jurisdiction, or by re~__son of any preemptive legislation, the remaining
provisions, sections, paragraphs, sentences, and words of this Resolution
shall remain in full foroe and effect.
