~EAS, the City of P~anoho O~-~n,~3~ bas filed an ap~licatio~ for
Point of Interest Designatio~ 93-02, as descrJ]:ed in the title of this
Resolution. ~ereina~ter in this Besoluti(x~, the subject Point of Into-.st
~REAS, On July 14, 1993, the H/stx~ic ~tic~ O. ..... i~io~ of
the City of Rancho Cucamonga conducted a duly noticed public hearing on the
application and, followir~ the c~lclusion of said public hearing, adopted
Resolution No. 93-06, thereby reak,t,,~nding to this City Council that said
application be approved.
WHEREAS, on November 17, 1993, the City Council of the City of
Rancho Cucamonga conducted a meeting on the application and ooncluded said
meeting on that date.
WHEREAS, all legal prerequisites prior to the adoption of this
Resolution have occurred.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Rancho O~cam~nga
does hereby find, determine, and resolve as follows:
S~CTION 1: ~ne application applies to property identified as
Assessor Paroel Number: 227-051-03.
S~/fION 2: ~ne Ross family's home was an im~ element in the
historic core of the Etiwanda cc~manity. Charles N. Roes, a citrus rancher
and one of Etiwar~a's earliest settlers, ~ the corner of Highland and
Etiwanda Avenues in 1895 and constructed the now-d~moli _shed___ hc~e in the early
years of the twentieth oentury.
The proposed landmark meets the following criteria est_~bli _shed__ in
Chapter 2.24.090 of the Rancho Cucamonga Municipal Code:

SECTION 3: Designation of a Point of Interest is exempt from C~QA
(Article 19, Section 15308).
S~CTION 4: Based on the substantial evidence received and reviewed
by this Council and based on the findings set forth above,
BE IT FURPH~R RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Rancho
Cucamonga approves the designation of the C.N. Ross House as a Point of
Interest and that the City Clerk shall forward a certified copy of this
resolution to the County ~ecorder within 90 days of its passage.
