(i) On April 6, 1981, the City of Rancho Cucamonga approved the
enactm~_nt of the General Plan through the adoption of R~solution No. 81-40.
(ii) On August 5, 1991, the City of Rancho Cucamonga filed an
application for General Plan Amendment No. 91-03, Subarea D, as described in
the title of this Resolution. Hereinafter in this Resolution, the subject
General Plan Amendment is referred to as "the application."
(iii) On October 9, 1991, the Planning C~,m, lssion of the City of
Rancho Cucamonga conducted a duly noticed public hearing on the application
and following the conclusion of said public hearing, adopted Resolution
No. 91-175 recu~_r~ to the City Council that the application be approved.
(iv) On November 20, 1991, the City Council of the City of Rancho
Cucamonga conducted a duly noticed public hearing and concluded said hearing
prior to the adoption of this Resolution.
(v) All legal prerequisites prior to the adoption of this Resolution
have occurred.
B. Resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga does
hereby find, determine, and resolve as follows:
1. ~nis Council hereby specifically finds that all of the facts set
forth in the Recitals, Part A, of this Resolution are true and correct.
2. Based upon substantial evidence presented to this Council during
the above-referenced public hearing on November 20, 1991, including written
and oral staff reports, together with public testimony, this Council hereby
specifically finds as follows:
(a) The application applies to 7.895 acres of land located
between approximately 1,000 feet and 1,300 feet south of Highland Avenue on
the west side of the future Day Creek Boulevard and is presently undevelo~.
Said property is currently designated Medium-High Residential (14-24 dwelling
units per acre); and

(b) The property to the north of the subject site, is
designated Medium-High Residential (14-24 dwelling units per acre) and is
undeveloped; the property to the south is designated ~sdium Residential (8-14
dwelling units per acre) and is vacant; the property to the east is designated
Medium-High Residential (14-24 dwelling units per acre) and is vacant; and the
property to the west is designated Flood Control/Utility Corridor and is
vacant; and
(c) ~is amendment does not conflict with the Land Use Policies
of the General Plan and will provide for development, within the district, in
a manner consistent with the General Plan and with related development; and
(d) This amendment promotes the goals and objectives of the
Land Use Element; and
(e) The properties located in Subarea D of the application are
suitable for the uses permitted in the proposed district and are compatible
with existing and adjacent land use designations as evidenced by the location
of properties with the same land use designations south of the subject site;
(f) This amendment would not have a significant impact on the
environment nor on the surrounding properties as evidenced by the findings and
conclusions listed in Parts I and II of the Initial Study; and
3. ~nis Council hereby finds that the project has been reviewed and
considered in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act of 1970
and, further, this Council hereby approves a Negative Declaration.
4. Based upon the findings and conclusions set forth in paragraphs
1, 2, and 3 above, this Council hereby resolves to approve General Plan Amend-
ment 91-03, Subarea D, amending the General Plan Land Use Map from Medium-High
Residential (14-24 dwelling units per acre) to Medium Residential (8-14 dwell-
ing units per acre) for 7.895 acres of land located between approximately
1,000 feet and 1,300 feet south of Highland Avenue on the west side of the
future Day Creek Boulevard as shown in Exhibit "A."
5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
