][ A. CALL TO ORDER II
The Rancho Gucamon§a Fire Protection District held a closed session on Wednesday, July 21, 2004, in
the Tapia Room of the Civic Center located at 10500 Civic Center Drive, Rancho Cucamonga, California.
The meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m. by President William J. Alexander.
Present were Boardmembers: Rex Gutierrez, Robert J. Howdyshell, Donald J. Kurth, M.D., Diane
Williams and President William J. Alexander.
Aisc present were: Jack Lam, City Manager; Pamela Easter, Deputy City Manager; James Markman,
City Attorney; Larry Temple, Administrative Services Director; and George Rivera, Administrative
Services Manager.

A regular meeting of the Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District was held on Wednesday, July 21,
2004, in the Council Chambers of the Civic Center located at 10500 Civic Center Drive, Rancho
Cucamonga, California. President William J. Alexander called the meeting to order at 7:11 p.m.
Present were Boardmembers: Rex Gutierrez, Robert J. Howdyshell, Donald J. Kurth, M.D., Diane
Williams and President William J. Alexander.

$1,015,395.04.
D3. Approval of Mello-Roos CFD 85-1 Fund 282 Monthly Expenditure Report for June 2004, in the
amount of $407,582.71.

D4. Approval of Mello-Roos CFD 88-1 Fund 283 Net Monthly Expenditure Report for June 2004, in the
amount of $154,914.38.
D5. Approval to adopt a Resolution of Intention to Annex Territory referred to as Annexation No. 04-2
(Parcel 0227-341-51) generally located on Base Line Road, east of Rochester into Community Facilities
District No. 85-1, specifying facilities and services provided, to set and specify the special taxes to be
levied within the annexation and set a time and place for a public hearing related to the annexation.
RESOLUTION NO. FD 04-019
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE RANCHO
CUCAMONGA FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT, RANCHO
CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, ACTING AS THE LEGISLATIVE BODY
OF COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT NO. 85-1, DECLARING
INTENTION TO ANNEX TERRITORY TO COMMUNITY FACILITIES
DISTRICT NO. 85-1
D6. Approval to adopt a boundary map showing parcel 0227-341-51 (Little Learners Preschool) to be
annexed into CFD No. 85-1.
RESOLUTION NO. FD 04-020
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE RANCHO
CUCAMONGA FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT, RANCHO
CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, ACTING AS THE LEGISLATIVE BODY
OF COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT NO. 85-1, ADOPTING A
BOUNDARY MAP SHOWING PROPERTY TO BE ANNEXED TO
COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT NO. 85-1
MOTION: Moved by Howdyshell, seconded by Kurth to approve the recommendations in the staff reports
contained within the Consent Calendar. Motion carried unanimously 5-0.
II ~. ADVERTISED PUBLIC HEARINGS
El. CONSIDERATION OF A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE FIRE DISTRICT'S GENERAL FUND
FINAL BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2004/05 IN THE AMOUNT OF $12,415,530
Staff report presented by Jack Lam, City Manager.
President Alexander opened the meeting for public hearing. There being no response, the public hearing
was closed.
RESOLUTION NO. FD 04-021
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE RANCHO
CUCAMONGA FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT, RANCHO
CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, FIXING A FINAL BUDGET FOR THE
FISCAL YEAR JULY 1,2004 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2005
MOTION: Moved by Kurth, seconded by Howdyshell to approve Resolution No. 04-021. Motion carried
unanimously 5-0.
