A RESOI/3TION OF THE CITY ODUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO
CIX2AMONGA, CALIFORNIA, D~2IARING ITS ~ON TO LEVY
AND OOTI,RCT ~ WITHIN THE PARK AND RECREATION
~ DISTRICT (PD-85) AND SEITING A TIME AND PLACE
FOR PUBLIC HEARING THERHIN
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga has
previously found a special assessment district pursuant to tb~ terms of the
"Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972", being Division 15, Part 2, of the
Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, in what is known and
designated as "PARK AND R~CREATION ~ DISTRICT (HERITAGE AND R~D HILL
~ PARKS).
WHEREAS, at this time the City Council is desirous to take proceed-
ings to provide for the annual levy of assessments for the next ensuing fiscal
year to provide for the costs and expenses necessary to pay debt service on
the bonds issued and costs for annual maintenance for the Assessment District;
WHEREAS, at this time there has been presented ar~ approved by this

is aesLrous os contLnu~ng with the proceedings for said annual levy.
N~W, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga does
hereby resolve as follows:
SECTION 1: ~nat the above recitals are all true and correct.
D~CLARATION OF ~ON
SECTION 2: That the public interest and convenience requires, and it
is the intention of this legislative body, to undertake proceedings for the
annual levy and collection of assessments for the payment of costs and
expenses for the following designated improvements, including debt service on
bonds issued to assist in financing said improvements.
Construction of park and recreational improvements in Heritage and
Red Hill C---,~unity Parks, including but not limited to, land preparation,
including grading, landscapir~ and irrigation systems, together with appurte-
nant work.
~%at no new improvements or any substantial changes in existing
improvements are proposed as a part of these proceedings.
BOUNDARIES OF ~CE DISTRICT
SECTION 3: That said works of improvements are of direct benefit to
the properties within the boundaries of said Assessment District, which
Assessment District the legislative body previously declared to be the area

benefited by said works of improvement, and for particulars reference is made
to the boundary map as previously approved by this legislative body, a copy of
which is on file in the Office of the City Clerk and open for public inspec-
tion, and designated by the name of this Assessment District.

SECTION 4: That the "Report" of the Engineer, as preliminarily
approved by this legislative body, is on file with the City Clerk and open for
public irugpection. Reference is made to said "Report" for a full and detailed
description of the existing works of ~t, the boundaries of the
Assessment District and any zones therein, and the proposed assessments upon
assessable lots and parcels of land within the Assess~_nt District.

SECTION 6: That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
give notice as causing a copy of this R~solution to be published in the Inland
Valley Daily Bulletin, a newspaper of general circulation within the City;
said publication to be cc~pleted not less than ten (10) days prior to the date
set for the public hearing.
