A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OOUNC/~ OF THE CITY OF RANCID
CIX/AMDNGA, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING AVerAGE OOST PER ACRE
TO DEVELOP PARK IAND IN RANCHO ~ AND ESTABLISHING
AVERAGE COST PER ACRE BY LAND USE DESIGNATION TO ACQUIRE
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamong~ has adopted
Chapter 16.32 of the Municipal Code, relating to regulations for dedication of
land, payment of fees, or both, for park and recreational land in subdivisions
and planned cca,m~nitites; and
WHEREAS, Chatfcer 16.32 of the Municipal Code establishes a formula
requiring as cc~ponents, "(the) average oost per acre to develop park land as
determined by the public agency", and "(the) fair market value of park land
per acre as represented by the land being subdivided".
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga does
hereby resolve as follows:
1. ~nat the City Council shall determine and set by Resolution the
average cost per acre to develop park land in Rancho Cucamonga
and the average cost per acre to acquire park land in Rancho
2. ~hat the City Council shall review and adjust by Resolution,
when warranted, the cost to develop and acquire park land in
3. The average cost per acre to develop park land in Rancho
Cucamonga is hereby established at One Hundred Forty ~nree
Thousand Dollars ($143,000), and it is that figure of One
Hundred Forty ~nree Thousand Dollars ($143,000) per acre that
will apply in the application of Chapter 16.32 of the Municipal
Code; and
4. ~ne average cost per acre to acquire park land in Rancho
Cucamonga, for the purpose of implementing Chapter 16.32 of the
Municipal Code, is hereby established by Land use designation
at:
Very Low (VL) = $100,000 per acre
Low (L) = $125,000 per acre
Low Medium (LM) = $155,000 per acre
Medium (M) = $250,000 per acre
Medium-High (MH) = $275,000 per acre
High (H) = $325,000 per acre
and that tb~se figures will apply in application of the
aforementioned Municipal Code Chapter.

5. The average cost per acre to develop and acquire park land as
determined by this Resolution shall apply to tentative maps and
parcel maps filed with the City on or after April 17, 1991 and
for all such maps as to which fees are paid after June 1, 1991.
As to all other such maps, fees shall be calculated in
accordance with Resolution No. 87-489.
