1. The responsibility of adjusting manhole covers, paving repair and having replacement in cora-
vection with sewer and water installations will be the responsibility of the owner, and shall
be accomplished in compliance with appurtenant ordinances.
2. Any contractor performing work on this project shall familiarize himself with the site, and
shall be solely responsible for any damage to existing facilitiesresulting directly or in-
directly from his operations, whether or not such facilities are shown on the plans.
3. Adequate stakes shall be set by the engineer to enable the contractor to construct the work
to plan grades.

4. Sub-grade stakes, driven to subgrade elevation, shall be set by the contractor or engineer

5. All sewer, water and gas laterals shall be constructed prior to paving.

report with these compaction tests shall be submitted to the City Engineer for approval ,
prior to the piacemertof base materials and/or paving..
7. At the completion of paving, a thaterials report shall be submitted to the City Engineer,
listing all tests or determinations completed to verify:

h }� (B) Stability, oil content and sieve analysis of asphalt surfacing.
tr) 8. When aspharlt concrete-is placed on native soil which consists of rocky material ; the sub-
grade shall be prepared by removing all rocks which protrude above the subgrade and all

12. City approval of pians does not relieve the developer from responsibility for the correc-

plan revisions shall be promptly submitted to the City for approval .
13. Paving and base section listed in the quantity estimate are for bidding purposes only

14. Contractor shall furnish and install all' signs, .lights and barricades and any other

traffic control or warning devices, including flagmen, as may be required by the engineer,
