CITY OF RANCHO CUCAMONGA
FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT CLOSED SESSION MINUTES
The Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District held a special closed session on Wednesday, October
20, 2004, in the Tapia Room of the Civic Center located at 10500 Civic Center Drive, Rancho
Cucamonga, California. The meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m. by President William J. Alexander.
Present were Boardmembers: Rex Gutierrez, Robert J. Howdyshell, Donald J. Kurth, M.D., Diane
Williams and President William J. Alexander.
Also present were: Jack Lam, City Manager; Pamela Easter, Deputy City Manager; James Markman,
City Attorney; Larry Temple, Administrative Services Director; and George Rivera, Administrative
Services Manager.

A regular meeting of the Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District was held on Wednesday, October
20, 2004, in the Council Chambers of the Civic Center located at 10500 Civic Center Drive, Rancho
Cucamonga, California. President William J. Alexander called the meeting to order at 7:09 p.m.
Present were Boardmembers: Rex Gutierrez, Robert J. Howdyshell, Donald J. Kurth, M.D., Diane
Williams and President William J. Alexander.

DT. Approval to adopt a boundary map showing property within TT 16776 (Van Daele Development
Corp.), generally located east of Etiwanda Avenue north of Base Line Road, to be annexed into CFD No.
85-1.

BOUNDARY MAP (ANNEXATION NO. 04-3) SHOWING PROPERTY TO
BE ANNEXED TO COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT NO. 85-1
D8. Approval to adopt a Resolution of Intention to Annex Territory referred to as Annexation No. 04-3 (TT
16776), into Community Facilities District No. 85-1, specifying facilities and services provided, to set and
specify the special taxes to be levied within the annexation and set a time and place for a public hearing

COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT NO. 85-1, DECLARING
INTENTION TO ANNEX TERRITORY TO COMMUNITY FACILITIES
DISTRICT NO. 85-1
Dll. Approval of an amendment to agreement (CO FD 04-008) for City supplemental funding for Fire
Protection Services.
D12. Approval to authorize 1) appropriations into the attached listing of account numbers and amounts
for a total appropriation of $91,040 to appropriate the cost of current year labor negotiations for Fire
Support Services Bargaining Unit and the Fire Management Employees Group; and 2) appropriations of
$57,990 into account number 3281000-9001 (Fire Fund), $33,050 into account number 3282000-9001
(CFD 85-1) to provide sources of revenue to fund the cost of current year labor negotiations.
MOTION: Moved by Howdyshell, seconded by Williams to approve the staff recommendations in the
staff reports contained within the Consent Calendar. Motion carried unanimously 5-0.
