RE Landmazk Alteration Penrtrt 96-02
Deat Mr Coletruin,
1 am forwarding you this correspondence m response to our telephone conversation on
the afternoon of Febniary 18, 1998 1 am ttquesting that the Histonc Preservation
Commission take the above referenced continwng project off calendar for an indefinite
penod of Ume The request is being made for the following reasons
First and foremost, I have patiently attempted to adhere to every regulation and
provision set forth by the Ciry of Rancho Cucamonga m the attempt to present a
Landmazk Alteration plan which would be acceptable and approved by the Crty of
Rancho Cucamonga Despite the countless hours t have personally spent attending
CommLS510n and Planning meetings with representatives from the City of Rancho
Cucamonga, at an enormous cost of my persona] time to my business, lenal and
professional fees m excess of One Hundred Thousand Dollars (5100,00 00), I cannot
foresee the start of the project immediately
Secondly, under the conditions set forth by the Qty of Rancho Cucaznonga for the
Alteration plan of the location, I have received ten letters of selection from vanous
financial and ]ending msbtutions(mcluding the Small Business Adrmmstranon)
indicating that funding would not be feasible at this time and citing the excessive cost of
the proposed conditions of the alteration plan and the potential lack of profitability once
the project is completed
I am m the process of purswng alternative sources to attain the necessary funding to
go forward with the Landmark Alteration Permit 96-02 and would tike to request the
2-20-1998 3 diPM FROM ANA-CAMPOS 213 d63 6368 P 3
City of Rancho Cucamonga to exerase the same patience 1 have exerc>sed by granting
my request to continue the project mdefinrtely
Should you encounter any questions, please feel free to contact me at the telephone
number above
Sincerely,
~~ ~~~ _~ ~
