♦ New Permit Category in 2007 California Fire Code
There is currently Inconsistency In the fees that are assessed for these facilities because there is not a specific
fee for this type of facility. By giving these facilities there own fees we provide for consistency among the
inspection districts.
• Major Permit Category that has been subcategorized by the District to ensure fee equity based on the differing
size of the operation.
Note 1 All apartment communities with nine or more units will realize an annual fee reduction of$44 since the per unit fee is now applicable when there are
nine or more units as opposed to the previous fee schedule where the per unit fee was applicable when there were five or more units. This will result in
a total revenue reduction of approximately$6,000.
Note 2 The proposed fee was applied via an administrative adjustment; a fee reduction does not need to be calculated.
Note 3 The Repair Garage /Small Industrial Shop permit was created with sub-categorized fees prior to Initiating any small shop inspections; a fee reduction
