APPROVAL OF PROMOTING ARTS AND LITERACY (PAL) CAMPAIGN BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2004-2005 RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the Rancho Cucamonga Community Foundation and the Rancho Cucamonga Public Library Foundation review and approve the proposed Promoting Arts and Literacy (PAL) Campaign budget for fiscal year 2004-2005: BACKGROUND/ANALYSIS: Last April the Community Foundation and the Library Foundation adopted a Fund Development Plan for the Rancho Cucamonga Cultural Center project. As a part of that plan a 13-month budget (May 2003-June 2004) was prepared and adopted by both Boards for the PAL Campaign. With the start of the 2004-2005 fiscal year it is time for the Community and Library Foundations to adopt a new operating budget for PAL. The attached budget reflects a 12-month budget for anticipated expenditures and revenues.for the Campaign. Staff recommends that both Boards review and adopt the proposed Promoting Arts and Literacy (PAL) Campaign budget for fiscal year 2004-2005. BACKGROUND/ANALYSIS: Over the past year, businesses and community members have sponsored a number of major recognition opportunities for the Cultural Center. In order to ensure that a variety of recognition opportunities exist to carry the PAL Campaign through 2006, staff is recommending modifications and additions to our original list of donor recognitions opportunities.
