A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
RANCHO CUCAMONGA FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT
APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE 2011-13
MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE
DISTRICT AND THE FIRE SUPPORT SERVICES EMPLOYEE
GROUP RELATIVE TO WAGES, BENEFITS AND OTHER
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT.
A. RECITALS
Representatives of the Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District ("District':
hereinafter) and the Fire Support Services Employee Group have met and conferred
pursuant to the provisions of the Meyers-Milias-Brown Act (California Government Code
§3500, et seq.) with regard to wages, benefits and other terms and conditions of
employment.
Representatives of the District and the Fire Support Services Employee Group have
agreed upon and present to this Board an amendment to the 2011-13 Memorandum of
Understanding pertaining to the Fire Support Services Employee Group specifying the
results of said meet and confer process.
All legal prerequisites to the adoption of this Resolution have occurred.
B. RESOLUTION
NOW THEREFORE, the Board of Directors of the Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection
District of the City of Rancho Cucamonga, California, does hereby find, determine and
resolve as follows:
1. In all respects, as set forth in the Recitals, Part A of this Resolution.
2. The attached amendment to the 2011-2013 Memorandum of Understanding
entered into by and between District representatives and the Fire Support
Services Employee Group representatives is hereby approved and ratified by the
Board of Directors.
3. The Secretary shall certify to the adoption of this resolution.

AMENDMENT TO 2011-13 MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
BETWEEN THE RANCHO CUCAMONGA FIRE.PROTECTION DISTRICT AND THE
FIRE SUPPORT SERVICES EMPLOYEE GROUP
As a result of meeting and conferring, the Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District
and members of the Fire Support Services Employee Group have agreed on the
following modifications to the Memorandum of Understanding covering the term July 1,
2011 through June 30, 2013:
1. Article II, Section 7 (A) of the MOU is hereby amended as follows:
§ 7 Retirement Plan
A. Benefits
District is enrolled in the State of California Public Employee's
Retirement System. Benefits are summarized below:
Employees Hired Before 7/9/11 Employees Hired on or After 7/9/11
§ 21354.4 2.5% at 55 Full Formula § 21354 2% @ 55 Full Formula
§ 21574 4th Level 1959 Survivor § 21574 4th Level 1959 Survivor
§ 20042 1 Yr Final Compensation § 20037 3 Yr Final Compensation
City pays 8 % normal PERS member City pays 6% normal PERS member
Contributions by resolution contributions; employee pays 1% by
resolution.
Effective 7/1/13, employees hired prior to 7/9/11 shall pay one percentage point (1%) of
the normal CalPERS employer contribution.
City shall adopt a resolution providing that all employee CaIPERS contributions shall be
deducted on a pre-tax basis.
Additional benefits for affected employees include the following:
Sec. 20691 Employer Payment of Member Contributions (based on hire date)
Sec. 20636 (c) (4) Reporting of Employer-Paid Member Contribution (EPMC) as
Special Compensation
Sec. 20965 Credit for Unused Sick Leave
(non-PERS) Supplemental Benefit through PARS Phase 11 Retirement System

2. Article XII of the MOU is hereby amended as follows:
ARTICLE XII TERM
The term of this MOU shall commence on July 1, 2011 and will continue for a three year
period ending June 30, 2014.
3. All other terms and conditions of this MOU remain unchanged.
