LN4 /kep CITY OF RANCHO CUCAMOr REDEVELOPMENT AGENC' STAFF REPORT D ^te: December 23, 1985 To: Chairman and Membera of the Redevelopment Agency Froms Robert A Rizzo, Assistant City Managar By: Elizabeth Stoddard, Assistant Finance Director Sub3ect: Local Agency Investrent Fund The Local Agency Investment Fund is a special fund in the State Treasury created by law witch permits a local Government agency to invest its idle funds Local State Investment Fund =miss are pooled with State funds and invested to achieve maximum return consistent with safe and prudent investment practices FCCOMMMATION: It is reco=ended thit the Rancho Cucamonga Rsdevelopment Agency approve the resolution proviring for participation In the Local Agency Investment Funi ILAIF) ES /tl W RESOLUTION NO J ip O J A RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING INVESTMENT OF IDLE MONIES IN LOCAL AGENCY INVESTMENT FUND WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 730 of the StAtutes of 1976 Section 16029 1 was added to the California Government Code to create a Local Agency Investment Fund in the State Treasury for the deposit of money of a local agency for purposes of investment by the State Treasurer, and WHEREAS, the Rancho Cucamonga Redevelopment Agency does hereby find that the deposit and withdrawal of money in the Local Agency Investment Fund in accordance with the provisions of Section 16029 1 of the Government Code for the purpose of investment as stated therein as in the beet interests Of the Rancho Cucamonga Redevelopment Agency NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Rancho Cucamonga Redevelopment Agency does hereby authorize the deposit and withdrawal of Idle monies in the Local Agency Investment Fund in the State Treasury in accordance with the provisions of Section 16429 1 of the Government Code for the purpose of investment a stated therein BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the following two (2) officers or their successors in office shall be authorized to order the deposit or with- drawal of monies in the Local Agency Investmart Fund: Laurel Wasserman, Executive Director James Hart, Agency Treasurer PASSED.
