SUIIIEC7: Sponsorship of the Grape Harvest Festival's 1988
Publicity Brochure
RECOMMENDATION: Approval of the $800 Expenditure from the
Redevelopment Agency's '87 =88 Marketing and Promotions Budget
BACKGROUND: In preparation for this year's Urape, Harvest
Festival, the Chamber has asked that the City be one of the select
sponsors of the event's brochure. The booklet will be used to
publicize the Festival both regionally and nationally, in the print and
electronic media" This would provide excellent marketing exposure
for the City, as well as furthering the "team spirit" of the event with
our Chamber
A brief summary from the Festival Committee is attached for your
review The currently committed sponsors are Empire Bank and San
Bernardino County Regional Parks. The William Lyon Company is
also an anticipated sponsor
ANALYSIS. This sponsorship would serve to enhance our image
and recogn•tion, as a City with a special ambiance and heritage to
celebrate. It would also provide a beneficial way of sharing in the
responsibility anti success of the Festival with our Chamber
