A RESOLUTION OF THE RANCHO CUCAMONGA PLANNING
COMMISSION APPROVING SITE APPROVAL NO. 80-09
LOCATED ON THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF HAVEN AND
BANYAN AVENUES IN THE A-P ZONE.
WHEREAS, on June 6, 1980, a formal application was submitted
requesting review of the above-described project; and
WHEREAS, on July 9, 1980, the Planning Commission held a duly
advertised public hearing for the above-described project.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE RANCHO CUCAMONGA PLANNING COMMISSION
RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1 : That the following findings have been made:
1 . That the site is adequate in size and shape.
2. That the site has adequate access .
3. That the proposed use will have no adverse
effect on abutting property.
• 4. That the proposed use is consistent with the
proposed General Plan.
5. That the conditions listed in this report are
necessary to protect the public health, safety,
comfort, convenience, and general welfare.
SECTION 2: That this project will not create significant ad-
verse impacts on the environment and a Negative Declaration is issued on
July 9, 1980.
SECTION 3: That Site Approval No. 80-09 is approved subject
to the following conditions and attached standard conditions :
1 . The monument sign shown on the development plans
is not approved. Separate sign review and ap-
proval is required prior to installation.
2. If the project is to be phased, then a detailed
planning plan shall be submitted to and approved
by the Planning Division prior to issuance of
building permits .
3. Dense landscaping consisting of trees and shrubs
shall be planted along the entire length of the
• west property line.

4. A six-foot earth-tone cinder block wall shall
be provided along the west property line from
Banyan to the rear of the adjacent residential
lot or other screening which can be worked out
with the adjacent property owner.
5. The MWD water tanks shall be visually screened
by earth mounding and dense landscaping.
6. A minimum of five specimen size trees (24-inch
box or larger) shall be placed along Haven Avenue
Street frontage.
7. No pre-school- nursery or school shall be per-
mitted unless specifically approved by the Plan-
ning Commission.
8. The sidewalk along Banyan shall be aligned with
the adjacent existing sidewalk and a landscaped
parkway provided along the street.
9. Any expansions or intensification of use re-
quires review and approval by the Planning
Commission.

RESOLUTION NO. 80-37
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF
RANCHO CUCAMONGA COMMENDING JORGE GARCIA FOR
HIS MERITORIUS EFFORTS IN HIS TERM AS PLANNING
COMMISSIONER FOR THE CITY OF RANCHO CUCAMONGA
WHEREAS, Jorge Garcia was appointed to the first Planning
Commission of the City of Rancho Cucamonga on March 8, 1978; and
WHEREAS, Jorge Garcia has served in that position for two
tumultuous years; and
WHEREAS, Jorge Garcia has made significant contributions to
the Planning Commission and the City of Rancho Cucamonga throughout the
arduous task of General Plan formulation; and
WHEREAS, Jorge Garcia has served as a member of the first
Design Review Board of the City of Rancho Cucamonga and has helped to
delineate City policy regarding architectural and design review of pro-
jects for the City of Rancho Cucamonga,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the Planning Commission
of the City of Rancho Cucamonga does hereby declare its appreciation for
the years of service provided by Jorge Garcia in his role as Planning
Commissioner and Design Review Board member.
