A RESOLUTION OF THE RANCHO CUCAMONGA PLANNING
COMMISSION DENYING APPROVAL OF STREET NAME
CHANGE NO. 81-01 REQUESTING A NAME CHANGE FROM
19TH STREET TO OLIVE STREET FROM THE WESTERN
RANCHO CUCAMONGA CITY LIMITS EAST TO ITS TER-
MINUS AT PALM DRIVE.
WHEREAS, on the 8th day of July 1981, the Planning Commission
held a duly advertised public hearing pursuant to Section 65854 of the
California Government Code; and
WHEREAS, on the 20th day of May, 1981, the City Council adopted
Ordinance No. 144, establishing Street Naming Policy for Rancho Cucamonga;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council has initiated the request for a
Street Name Change for 19th Street pursuant to Section 3.A.3 of Ordinance
No. 144; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Division has prepared a report discussing
the justification for the change, recommending a replacement name and
discussing the impact of the proposed change;
• NOW, THEREFORE, the Planning Commission has made the following
findings:
1. The proposed change would create significant adverse
impacts on the business community;
2. The street name is not deemed necessary in order to
protect the public health, safety, comfort, convenience
and general welfare.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
1. That pursuant to Section 65850 - 65855 of the California
Government Code, the Planning Commission of the City of
Rancho Cucamonga hereby recommends denial on the 8th day
of July, 1981 of Street Name Change No. 81-01;
2. That the Planning Commission hereby recommends that the
City Council deny Street Name Change No. 81-01;
3. That a certified copy of this Resolution and related
material shall be forwarded to the City Council .
